Wow! How can you keep the camera that steady? I'm guessing you're using a tripod for those pics. I have a D40 and for the life of me, I cannot get any of the night time pics clear. They're always blurry.

It's easy to do when the vehicle speed is zero!

High ISO means fast shutter speed, no tripod required with a reasonably steady hand or brace the camera against yourself while sittitng in the seat.

It's also a lot easier to hold the larger DSLR body steady as compared to the little point-and-shoot pocket cameras.

no tripod. haha
at some places i had a hard time finding dark spots. ahha
i had to up and leave when a car was coming, they would always get suspicious.
one stop, i was in a neighborhood new home development and i was takin a pic. turned around
and bam! a odyssey! hahah they made a uturn and stopped. rettaaard
