Hello. New guy here. Currently my only Honda product is this, lol.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy a 2012 V6 EX in the Fall this year. Originally I was planning to buy a Civic Si but like most of the world, I find the 2012 redesign to be a letdown. The more I thought about it and considered how much awful Boston traffic I sit in 3-4 days a week, the more I talked myself out of a manual trans. I haven't owned a manual trans vehicle in a long time and I have a strong yearning for one, but for a commuter car, I need to be practical. My uncle has a 2005 EX V6 coupe with over 250K on it and all he's done are brakes, belts, plugs, oil changes, tire, etc. I'm hoping to buy a car I can just drive and be content with for at least 200K without worry, which is about 8 years of work commutes for me. I hate newer Camrys. Not a GM fan. Not too enthusiastic about Nissan, Mazda, etc etc. I'm mainly a Ford fan when it comes to domestics, and I have to say I had a 2012 Fusion SE as a loaner car for a day last month and I was pretty damn impressed with it, overall. It has basically come down to deciding between a Fusion SE V6 and the Accord EX V6 sedan. I'm leaning way more towards the Honda though.
I also currently own a 2007 F-150 crew cab 4x4 I bought new
A 2003 BMW 525i w/ Sport Package that I'd be trading in for the Accord.
My wife drives a 2006 Explorer Eddie Bauer edition. No pictures, but it looks like every other brown/beige 2-tone E.B. Explorer out there, lol. I love the BMW. I know the ride, handling, steering feel, etc. of the Accord will be nothing like the BMW and I will miss that. I also don't like front wheel drive. However the BMW is getting close to 100K miles and that's typically where you need to start sinking big money into repairs on a quite-regular basis if you want to keep them running another 100K miles. Where the car hasn't panned out to be quite as "fun" a toy as I thought it would (should have held out for a 530 or 540 I guess

) I figure I'll trade it in for the reliable but less-fun Accord (although a V6 Accord will smoke it in a straight line) and buy something else later to truly be a dedicated "toy" for us, like a few year old Mustang GT or something...but I digress.
I've been doing some poking around here and decided I'm certain enough of buying the Accord in a few months that I'd join up. There are some pretty good deals out there now too. A dealership near me quoted me just under $23,100 for an EX V6 sedan. Documentation/prep whatever fees brough it up to about $23,400. 1.9% financing for 5 or 6 years too though Honda's finance company.
BTW, I posted this question in the audio forum, but as that looks to be geared more towards aftermarket/custom audio, I'll post the link to it and maybe it will see more traffic here:
