Upholstery Cleaner - Westley's Cleaner!!

Ever since I got my car I was aware how light the seats are and was worried about them getting dirty over time. After about 5 years of use I figured it was time to fully clean them.

First time I have ever actually scrubbed them and they came out great! This stuff is amazing. The spray can looks ancient so I don't know if they even still sell it. It is called Westley's cleaner.

I am happy with the result, let me know if you guys have have a go-to product for your seats/interior. Especially because the can is now empty. I have attached some before and after shots. Thanks.

My dog Max approves!

This is the can:

I don't find a huge diff between foaming cleaners - this works well for me:

also blue coral foaming cleaner,

also, Tuff Stuff Foam at any auto parts store

I'm partial to my Bissell Little Green Machine, myself. Very little mess afterwards and you know the dirt is vacuumed out of the fabric. Those pictures are impressive, though!

I worked at a few new car dealers whose detail depts used Car Brite Xtra Duty. Can be tough to get your hands on, but I like it a lot.

Here's a thread on Autopia about it:

Did you use the machine for the carpet? If yes, how were the results?

@Op

Looks good. W/e works the best for you.

I use the Blue Coral foam which does a nice job. Here is Rick's work on some floor mats:

I pre-treated with Folex then used only hot water and extracted. LOVE the LGM!

These have gone up, I paid $99 for mine with the Turbo brush.

MM49, I use it on the carpet. Gets a little interesting in the nooks and crannies, but that's why God invented toothbrushes and such if need be. Crevice tool gets stuff out.

Rick they have gone up, but if anyone has a Kohl's nearby and a Kohl's credit crard, it makes for a nice deal when you get their 30% off promo:

It would be worth it to get the machine if I cleaned the seats more often. I have had the car 5 years and this is the first time I cleaned them. Will probably try the blue coral stuff or scotch.

A must have or no? My carpets are no where near as dirty as above^. I have protected them from day one.

I'd say a nice to have if you keep up with your upholstery. I don't do mine as often as I should, but when I do, the LGM makes it very fast and easy. I do both of our cars at once and also for spot cleaning in the home. You can buy a lot of cans of spray cleaner for $70-100.

All that said, I'm really glad I have mine.

Marc's or Family Dollar has the Blue Corral cleaner for $4-5. Hard to beat that price. Marc's also has Stoners Tarminator and More Shine tire protectant. Good stuff to have for your other detailing needs.

Not sure how well it would work on small mats -- probably would need to hold them down somehow. But I have seen people pull entire carpets out of S10s and Blazers and pressure wash them. It removes EVERYTHING.
