Does anyone know the Honda part number for the tweeter pillar mount? I'd like to install them in my Sport.

It should be pretty easy to find what you want on this site:

Stock speakers (both door and rear deck)
  1. Size and or dimensions of factory drivers and any additional door clearance.
  2. Factory driver Impedance
  3. Wiring (harness layout, wiring diagram, unused wiring options) Does the Sport have an unused connector in the door harness for the tweeters? Did Honda use the same wiring harness from the higher trim versions, but simply not populate the tweeters in the Sport?
  4. Mounting hole sizes & locations. Do the existing driver and mounting holes accept standard after-market replacements? If I get responses about what fits, I will compile a list and post it here.
  5. The side-mirror garnish panels are used for tweeter locations in the higher trim levels. To add after-market tweeters there, can the Sport's stock garnish panels be modified (i.e., is there room?), or are the EX-L garnish panels needed?

Stock Head Unit
  1. Wiring (there is a limited list of wires one on the forum, but it's not very detailed). Any close-up pictures? Any info on interfacing to the display?
  2. Unused installed wiring - are there wires in the Sport harness to carry either a line level or speaker connection to the unused location for the subwoofer on the back deck?
  3. When, and how does the ANC turn on? Is it ALWAYS on, even when the vehicle is off and the key in the ACCESSORY position? It makes sense that ANC would be turned off in this case, because it is an unnecessary waste of battery power. Perhaps the MOTION SENSOR input to the radio is used for multiple purposes (ANC, ASL, reverse camera). If so, can it be disabled or disconnected, turning off ANC?
  4. People have widely recommended just clipping the wires to the ANC microphones. Since these are high gain, high impedance inputs they are likely to be susceptible to noise pickup if just clipped. They should be ideally TERMINATED with the mic impedance, or at least SHORTED instead of being left floating open. Has anyone experienced problems with the ANC acting unpredictably after these mic leads were simply clipped?

I don't mind tearing into my 3 day old Sport to fix the atrociously bad factory audio, but I would like to gather materials and information beforehand. Can anyone answer these, please?

Thanks,
Dean
Dean asked some very important questions and I think most of them should be answered before any newbie attempt to fiddle with his stereo/speaker setup...

At least the basics.
-Impedance
-wiring diagram
-color codes
-clearance for the tweeters and speakers

The rest I think people can figure out on their own what they want...

I'll get a pair of OEM tweeter covers. Just want to get a second opinion from the guys who played with them, do you think a pair of those would fit under the new tweeter covers?

I am also curious. I was thinking about buying the mirror garnish panels from the EX-L for use in my Sport. Now I'm leaning towards just modifying the ones that come with the car to mount the tweeters in them. Without some measurements or EX-L panels in my hands, it's hard to determine if the tweeters will go better into the EX-L panels, or will be just fine in the Sport panels. Please post your results! I'm right behind you!

woh.... those "are" the touring tweeter panels ??? That's NOT what I want at all. I thought the tweeter was hidden under a small grill.

Something like this.

I certainly don't want anything sticking out like what I'm seeing here...
