wheel change

sorry if i missed this but i did google and spend time looking
so my question is i have an 09 accord sedan stoch steel wheels 215x16r 16 and picked up aftermarket 18" rims that need tires (plan on using year round)so what i need to know is can i just take the sensers out of the stock steel rims and install them in the 18" or do i need a different part number sensor(like what comes on the stock 18" mags)?

Most of the time they will fit. Did the new wheels say there were TPMS compatible? When they say that, it means that both the inside and outsize of the rim have a flat groove where the valve stem is so that the TPMS sensor can properly seat/be tightened.

I have a second set of 16" steelies for winter that are plain jane rims, not TPMS compatible and I successfully put TPMS sensors in them.

The new wheels i got are off cl and not sure if they are tpms compatable listed, I want to use them as my winter and summer rim. I take it i should at least buy a rebuild kit jik they work?

so did some rearch and they are Cruiser Alloy Custom Wheels
Cruiser Alloy 903MB Cake Black / Machined Wheels
903MB Cake
Gloss Black / Machined
TPMS Compatible
Fitment Notes: 60 Degree Conical seat lugs. This wheel accepts E/T style lug nuts to provide a lug-centric installation

picked up all four of them for 150 thought that was a good deal
so do you think the stock tpms will work?
and any suggestions where to buy the lugs (E-T Lug Nuts (12mm x 1.50")? think that is the correct size!

If they're just the wheels and you don't have tires mounted on them you will have a spot like this near the valve stem hole. But they should work and seal as the TPMS sensors have rubber grommets to seal against the rim. See where I have blue circled? This is the flat groove for the TPMS.

Their website says TPMS compatible, so looks like you should be OK.

Yes I do think the stock TPMS should be OK. Check TireRack for tires -- see what you like on there. TireRack says that 245/55/18 would be your best bet.

Check out Gorilla Automotive -- they make very nice lugnuts. Have a set ordered for my summer wheels.
