Looking For Some Help

Im new here looking for some help. I got an 07 Honda Accord Ex sedan 2.4L
I bought some jdm style foglights and 3000k Hids from ebay. I got everything hooked up n they work but only one foglight comes on at a time. The right side comes on but the left stays off. I turn it off, then it turn it back on and the left comes but the right stays off. In random order like that only one comes on.. The foglights came with a wiring harness and relay and push button switch. I got the power from the fuse box under the driver side to an ignition source. The switch is really cheaply made an it dosent fit in the panel. I will be getting an oem honda switch for this. If anyone can help with this it would help me alot. Thank you!

Welcome to DA. That eBay wiring harness, as well as, your OEM wiring harness is not designed to support HID bulbs and ballasts. Take the HIDs out and plug in the H11 bulbs and then see if you still are having issues

Thanks for replying! I Bought The foglights along time ago before the hids, they came with some cheap light bulbs in it.. the left side bulb only lasted me one week n it burned out. Thats why I figured I put some Hids on the.. Is there a way of making them work since I already bought them. On my other vehicle A Tahoe. I got lows, Highs, and fogs on Hids and they work Fine.. I know its not the same as a honda. Any suggestions?

Its not tapped in to a fuse. In the fuse box theres a spot, where something plugs in. That ebay harness has a factory style grey connector. It plugged in perfect so thats what I used it. Its an ignition source..

The stock and ebay harness are well capable of handling the hid!!

I think it might be a bad switch or connection somewhere. The Inspire fog lights actually came with good quality harness. I just installed mine few days ago and the switch went in the panel perfectly.

just did mine as well they work great but bright as the sun. I'm gonna take the HIDs out anyways since i'm planning on retrofiting the inspires.

Did you try to fire up the HIDs while the car was running or when it was off? I had an issue where there wasn't enough power going to either so each side would randomly turn on like you said.

Try starting up the car and letting the alternator power for a min.

The car Was Off I didnt even Think about having it running.. Ill Try That. I was also thinking It might be the switch.. So I ordered A switch From Honda Came in today.. Ill see if that works.. If not im cutting of the relay that came with the ebay harnesss and just run it from an assesory wire

NOT a good idea. Hopefully having the car running will fix the issue. if you just use a normal wire the ballasts pull more power at startup and you could "possibly" melt your wires. That relay has a fuse so if too much power goes to it'll pop saving your wiring.
