The plastidip looks really neat... You are really brave to do all of that work on your own! What is the life of the material? Were you nervous to do all of that work? I would be scared to do my wheels... I think the black plastidip would look awesome on my Belize Blue Pearl...

I've owned several cars over 15 years, but nothing compares to the trio of Hondas I have owned.

Plasti-dipping isn't something to be afraid of. Many people do it to cover the chrome trim on their cars. If you want to plasti-dip your wheels, go for it. And if you stuff it up or it doesn't look right, just peel it off and redo it! Just remember to clean the wheels thoroughly before you apply the plasti-dip.

I wasn't really nervous at all, i just sprayed lol. As stated, if you don't like it or mess up, just peel it right off and it was like it was never there! It is great stuff and gives a great result. The life of the material all depends on the elements and maintenance.

It has been on for several months now and still looks great!! Had car washed at Mike's Car Wash here in Indiana where they have a reputation for sometimes scratching rims, (I've never had this issue). They still look great after road salt, sand, snow, ice, rain and normal wear and tear.

Also, it would look great with your blue pearl!! Let us know if you try it out. Try a few test runs on something small

Omg. You can just peel it off and it is like it was never there? No damage to the parts? Now that's even better!! I'm going to try it this spring! I can't wait!!

Be patient and take your time, if you do rims, spray then turn your tires, or drive forward a foot to make sure you get all spots, I missed a few when i did mine because i couldnt see it

Wouldn't it have been easier to just remove each rim individually and spray them? I would think you could get a much more even coat this way and dont have to worry about overspray onto the rotors, calipers, etc..

I know when I sprayed my front grille, I had an issue with coverage on the underside of the top of the trim that if I had just removed the grill then sprayed, everything would have been 100% even. Come springtime I will remove the grille, clean it off and re-spray it and possibly using the clearcoat that plasti-dip has to offer this time around..

Love the way the rims came out BTW.. I'm thinking of dipping my own as well but when I bought the car they had minor curbing and a gash in one of them.. I'm afraid that rash will really stand out when I black the rims out..

Doing a few coats might even fill the damage?
