Seems like a cool project. I'd want to change my car color to alpine white or w/e the Honda one is. (mine is crystal black pearl).

Just curious...how do you wash your car if it's wrapped in vinyl. Do you wax it also?

Should have just bought a black coupe? Though it wouldn't have been flat black, still?

Just like how you would wash it when it's not wrap. Nothing special. You can't wax it tho

I'm excited to see the turnout. I bet it will look nice.

Black Bandit, I called a local shop that does wraps bc I was curious and they estimated $2700 to do my coupe. DIY would be much cheaper though, of course.

Welcome to the forum! And you sure have a cool project going on! Really excited to see the result! How long are you going to leave it on? Will it turn "bad" if it is not removed after a certain amount of time?

It supposed to last about 10 years... It won't go bad because the vinyl wrap is just not for looks but it's also like a paint protection.

I'm only paying for the materials coz I'm doing myself. And the material is a bit cheaper for me because we do car wraps at my shop..

More or less difficult: applying a screen protector to a cell phone or wrapping a car?

LOL! I will trade you since mine is alphine white and I would rather have the crystal black pearl.

As for the wraps, that is something I work with as part of my job and they can be very advantagious, depending on your purposes. As stated, they do help protect the paint from general wear and tear, the sun, sand, rocks, keys, etc. Depending on the vehicle being wrapped, it can take a great deal of time, patience, and expertise (corners, handles, etc. are the hardest part). These best part is you can change the color or design of your car as often as you want to or your budget allows. Washing is all the same and even high powered spray washes are fine if the wrap is applied well and maintained over time (loose edge corrected ASAP). Depending on how the wrap is applied, sections can be replaced as needed. Unfortunately, there can also be downsides like the wrap glue hardening and pulling the paint when removed (yes, I had a vehicle that happened to, but the wrap was on for 10+ years).

I have considered adding some blue stripes to my car hood, roof, and trunk.

Scott C.
