Phew, thanks

Get the Duralast Gold 24F battery, about the same price, plus 3 year warranty and big CCAs.

don't quibble about $10 of dollars...sounds good, if it fits, get on with your life....you tell us how it runs...you'll see a real diff in starts and reduction of lights dimming at night....go for it!

Notes from the land where we not only change the clocks seasonally, we change our thermometers from Fahrenheit to Kelvin every November:

1) Yeah, the accountants want a smaller battery because it costs less, but the engineers do too because it saves weight and weight really really matters when you're trying to squeeze every mpg out of the EPA numbers.

2) It sounds wrong, but sometimes you can get 'er going by turning on your headlights briefly, then off, then crank it. Here's why. The light power draw warms up the batteries and cables just enough that power output and conductivity may improve JUST ENOUGH to get it started. It's the same deal if you're out at night in cold weather and your flashlight gets weak. Remove the batteries, warm them under your pits, and replace. The batteries will work a little better for a little while, which may be all you need.

Plus it's a cheap thrill.

You are seriously overpaying for a "eh" battery. Highly recommend against paying $200+ for it. Honestly go w/ a Duralast Gold or Interstate Megatron.

Get yours checked for free at advance or auto zone if its fine run it till it dies. Unless you absolutely have to go an have no ability to back up a ride or jump start wife 9 months pregnant etc.
most people will tell you optimas arnt wht they used to be but I have no experience with them. Once mine does ill be replacing with the ever start Maxx from walmart based on consistent low price without chasing rebates coupons an the fact I can walk in 24 hours to replace it five years down the road when it dies
