Unlocking door issue

09 Honda Accord won't unlock manually from outside. Electronic lock and unlock is fine. I found out this issue when my key was out of the battery. The key is not turning anywhere. Anyone knows what is going on there?
Thanks,
J

Did you buy it new or used? It could be a new ignition and key or it could be someone changed the door and not the lock. Sometimes my Ranger will do that -it seems the tumblers get out of line with the key notches. Just have to wiggle the key -sometimes for 2-3 minutes.

Try the key in the glove box. If it works, then it's possible either the lock was changed or it's damaged. If it doesn't work it means the ignition was changed.

If you had the car since new then rule can rule all this out.

I bought the car brand new and never tried to use manual unlock until yesterday. The key has no problem for the glove box whatsoever.

All keys have the same issue? Definitely a bad key cylinder if other keys don't work either.

All the keys. This is exactly what I was guessing. How much to fix it if I ever decided to?

How long ago did you buy your car? If this problem has been there since the beginning, then I assume the dealership should be able to cover it at no charge to you

More than four years. It is out of the warranty and I don’t have the prove it is like this since I got it.
