Now the dealer has you - and your $1,000.

What if another dealer just received the exact trim you want and offers a better deal? Trying to get your $1k back from the original dealer will be next to impossible.
Well best deal I found was $2000 more than the deal I got so I'm ok with the price. Plus I'll get to inspect the car when they have it in.

A quick glance at the 2013 Altima forum will make you run to the Honda dealer:

http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/201...ssion-2-5-3-5/

The new Altima's transmission and power steering are jacked up.

Lol. But seriously thanks very much. That's horrible what happened to Altima buyers. Some serious threads are going on there about cvt.

Yeah at this time in the season it is best to wait until the 2014 models come out or if you want to save some money like I did with my previous Accord, go the used route on a certified 2013 model. However, if you really need another vehicle right now or just want to one-up the neighbors then enjoy your new 2013 coupe and let the chips fall where they may.

Seems there are a few very very unhappy v6 owners on this edmunds thread,
believed to be VCM vibration, but then again could be torque converter.
Go back in time on the thread to see more.
Looks like I need to give mine a really good test drive before I sign papers. Should be in around the 7th Feb,believe made Jan 23rd.

Wow, I only browsed the 1st page, but every thread I checked was a complaint about the car. Very different tone than here. My wife urged me to consider the Altima, but I told her, I liked Honda reliability more. I'm going to show her that forum, and guilt her into making me a killer desert tonight!

I'm a long time member over there, and the 5th gen forum and complaints (V6 CVT issues specifically) led me to buying my Accord. I'm very happy I did (even though it lacks OEM Xenon headlights).

You do have to be careful with forums in general, as they do not represent a vast majority. But it's always good to get a feel for the major issues (first MY Altimas are known to have issues).

For her info...Mohave or Sonoran are easiest local/CONUS to lose bodies in.
