pilot program: siri update for the accord

I live in socal and recieved a email that i am going to get a email to take my accord to the dealer for a update to the car system were it will function with siri of the iphone. Anyone in other states get this email?

Siri Eyes Free Mode integrates the Siri feature into your vehicle, allowing you hands free access to many of the Siri functions through the vehicle?s audio and HandsFreeLink systems without having to handle your iPhone.

Honda is conducting a limited market trial with current 2013 model owners who own an Apple iPhone.

As a part of this trial, Honda will update your Accord with software that will allow the new Siri Eyes Free feature to work in your vehicle.

The update will be installed by your dealer at no cost to you and you are welcome to keep and use the Siri Eyes Free feature after the trial is complete. All we ask from you is participation in an online survey after Siri Eyes Free is installed and you have had a chance to experience the feature.

There has been some compatibility concerns with the iPhone 5 and the Accord. This update will correct these concerns if you qualify for the trial.
To get started, please click on the link below to qualify for the trial. If you qualify, you will receive a welcome letter approximately 48 hours after completing the survey with instructions about how to have the Siri Eyes Free software installed into your vehicle.

you can't just fill out a survey and get this..they are selecting a pilot group and have the names...everyone else is shut out until it's approved...

Yes i already clicked on the link. The survey is just a 5 questions like. Do you own a iphone. Will u update it to iso 6 .. do you use the siri function allot. Thats about it.

I will admit it is good to hear that it will not require a special button to access siri in the future. They might make it compatible with our cars when they release it, hopefully.

The letter seems to imply that Honda might charge for it later. I guess technically full Siri compatibility was not a feature that was advertised so it was not something that we bought with our cars.

So I wonder if the results from Siri (let's say I'm driving around and get hungry for some pie and tell Siri to "find pie") will show up on the iMid screen which I can scroll through using the controls on the steering wheel or the select knob???

That would be useful from time to time.
