I should have wrote: in the other thread...The answer is not in this thread.

If, for some reason you're referring to myself, I did re-read the entire thread, and see nothing amiss.

I'm expanding on the main questions I began in the thread, and if there's any comprehensive overlap, I'm unaware, seeing as I'm not sure what I'm doing, asking detailed questions, and learning a wealth of information from Husker, and the like, and I'm grateful for it. I also began this thread because I read well into the past threads, and I did not find specific answers for my questions, concerning my model and year. If a similar answer or question is in a newer thread, made since I started this one, I may have missed it.

Husker, I've seen some blank chrome center-caps for the wheels... some were for the accord (previous years.) Are they some kind of standard size, or should I find some sort of measurement to compare? I didn't see any kind of measurements in the product details, but are they uniform by brand? Year?

I don't have an answer for you, I would try and get the actual specs to be safe or at least ask if you can return them if they don't fit...Good-Luck

De-badging the 2013 Accord

I asked my car dealer salesman to make sure no front license plate holder was put on my 2013 Accord EX-L (but left loose in the trunk in case I ever need it) and they not only complied with that request but did not put a "Honda of Covington" dealer badge on the rear. Thumbs up!

That's a pretty sweet job. I have a ex-l in white and was planning on plasti dipping the stock grill and going with the cherry red H emblem. Now I want to go out and do it!

Did u leave the grill and emblem in place and tape or remove it? I have FCW on my car so I may have to remove the grill to make sure I don't mess that up.

take the H off the front - get a plastic wallboard spatula - 4 inch wide - push it down from top behind the logo - tap with a small tack hammer - pins break - falls off - paint it - replace with two sided VHB tape - works perfectly for years

If you want to keep the gloss look of the grill, it (H) needs to be removed, In the 1st of 4 pics between the 2 yellow spreaders is a clip that holds on the emblem, I could not figure how to remove it, so, I improvised.

1. Get tools.

2. Slip yellow spreaders (Available at auto body supply stores apx$1.50 each) behind emblem to the pins of the emblem

3. Slide scrapper behind spreaders till you feel the 2 pins then give it a little tap, it pops off cutting the pins.

4. Apply 2 sided tape to back of emblem (pic does not show tape just the cut pins) I only applied to the top bottom & sides then apply to car.

I hope this helps, looks complicated but it's very easy.

I've used those yellow type of decal smoother's, spreaders, applicator's or whatever they are technically called, to remove emblems from all my cars and friends as well, works so much easier than using floss or fishing line, just slide between body and emblem and wiggle back & forth, it removes the tape for an easy job.

Yep, that would work as an all in one tool, I was gonna use just the metal scraper (If I did it over that's all I would use) but I slid the plastic ones behind the "H" first and thought what the heck, I slid the metal with them still in place and a small tap did the job.

What exactly is the purpose of the slip yellow spacers?

edit: Are they used to pull off the emblem or to hold it while ur spraying it?

if its to remove the emblem, would this work?

You don't need them, on my experiment I slid the yellow scrapers behind the "H" and left them there while I got a metal scraper and well it was overkill, all you need is one scraper and slide behind "H" give it a gentle tap & bingo emblem pops off.
