I can assure you that I would not participate in your "paper trade" unless there was a clear, attractive economic benefit to me as the buyer. Good luck in finding a buyer who will accept your terms.

I am more curious than ever about this, and I intend to pursue more information through my dealer and other sources. If anyone else has knowledge/opinions about this "paper trade" type of deal, please chime in.
Then you wouldn't be the buyer for me

Just curious if you get a better deal that you are willing to pay cash up front
or get it financed and them pay cash as the last minute?

Thanks

I think my deal was very fair to everyone, but as it should be I was my first priority, not the dealership. Use the tools available to everyone online (Edmunds, Cars, etc...) and you'd be surprised what an email or 2 will get you.

When I did my negotiation, I told them I can do cash or finance, whichever helps me get the deal.

When they came back with final number I accepted, they said it required I finance with them. They like the potential to make some interest off you. It sweetens the deal for them a little.

With or without navi? For without see my signature, with Navi I would add the delta for invoice betwen the Nav and Not-Nav model(1800 maybe?).

The weymouth honda dealer in Boston, MA posts very competitive prices online. I use them as a metric for what is a good deal BEFORE state-specific fees and taxes are added.

EX-L CVT no nav $28,785 msrp; $25,519 sell

EX-L CVT with Nav $30,785 msrp; $27,274 sell

W/O Navi. I think there is more incentives now for the dealerships. Mikeysoft (I think thats his name) bought one for alittle more than me from Weymouth and now their prices are even lower than before.

Great prices here, almost what I paid for my Touring in PA. Interesting to see that low of a price advertised on a website without have to email/phone to begin a price battle!

Weymouth Honda recently dropped the price on the 2013 Accord EX-L cvt with Nav about $400. I got mine form them in early Oct. However, I had mine for about 5 months. The Accord only came out a few weeks before I order mine and many other dealers did not have good prices back then. I am very happy I got it then.

Keep in mind folks that the Weymouth advertized price does not include the destination charge. I was able to get better prices through the TrueCar and Edmunds internet quote. Most of these internet managers quote a price that includes destination.

All the weymouth prices include destination. It says on their website.

?All prices above include $790 Destination Charge, $239 Documentation fee and $125 Registration fee included in the payment. The documentation fee varies by dealer, and all other fees are charged and set by American Honda or the Department of Motor Vehicles. Tax is excluded unless otherwise indicated and depends on residency. Accessories are additional. This tool should be used as a guide, and all lease terms must be verified before a sale is complete. Dealer is not responsible for data entry errors. Rates/Security Deposit upon AHFC approval."

From their quote section on their website:

Weymouth Honda's
Internet Sale Price
(Destination Charge included)

http://www.weymouthhonda.com/newcars...cing_Inventory

If you get the sign in page, you don't need to enter any data, just click on the "sign in" button and then go to new cars, etc... and their pricing is displayed.
