Keep in mind that the SRI is far easier to install....can be done in 20 minutes by a novice and doesn't involve bumper removal. Performance wise I doubt you'll get any significant gains from either SRI or CAI. I have "all the performance mods" and we're only talking about 10%-20% faster than stock, and I bet the lion's share of that was from the PCD and Pulley.

I'm really not looking for any extra HP, just looking for a nice sound.. I'm sure I will barely gain anything, if nothing at all.

And I seen people on YouTube install a CAI without removing the bumper

If all you want is the sound get the SRI might be a lil cheaper and the filter is closer to you so you'll hear it better, and you don't have to worry about the bumper.

and this is just my thinking on the situation, A tube is a tube! get the one that catches your eye the most and get it, use the filter it comes with it or get a fancy one.

you'll probably get 5 horsepower from the intake. not much but better than nothing. you won't really hear the intake but once u pass 3000 RPM it'll sound like a beast

I Just installed mine today and it was pretty easy. Just have tools ready and everything organized and it should be no problem. It sounds amazing, didn't expect it to be that great but it beat my expectations so far. Right now no problems as of it and I am loving it

^^ Here's 2 of my videos that give a pretty good idea of the SRI fury. The second one was windows down and block walls on both sides of me...so it had a fat reverb.

I heard the torque really makes a difference in the low RPMs

CAI is also not important. I have realtime engine monitoring, so I can see my intake temperature, and if you're moving at all then the intake temperature is pretty much the same as ambient. Not sure if CAI has a different sound vs. SRI.

In the end get whatever brand you want. There's no magic to one vs. the other...it's just a bit of metal pipe.
Not that there would be a huge difference, but if I had to put money on it....I'd say the k&n performs better. Some publication dyno tested a TSX with several different intake systems and the k&n was the best performing. I know the engines are not exactly the same, but they are both k24's....and the k&n also comes with a heatshield.

Also, s2000 owners have found the k&n to be one of the better performing intake on their cars as well.

I'm on the fence on whether or not to get a Sri intake. But if I decide to...I'm likely going to order the k&n unless someone dyno tests all the intake available and finds one to be better then the other.
