So many possiblities, the report from the dealer ought to be interesting.

Sounds like an O2 sensor might have gone out.

Update on car situation

so the car was taken to the dealership at 7:30 am this morning.
every engine and transmission test that they have was done, all filters, sensors, plugs etc. were checked and confirmed to be working.

I was skeptical when they called and said the car was ready, but nothing had been to be wrong. Once I arrived I jumped into another Touring Accord that they had on the lot with 1200 miles on the car. My car Just hit 500 on my way home from the dealership. While driving the alternate accord, I heard the same winding up noise in this car as well as the lack of quickness it had off of the line.

Basically, the quickness I had been feeling in my car was my own initial change from a i4 to a V6. Having driven the car for a week, I have gotten used to how much pressure needs to be applied to the gas. The other accord that I drove has the same feeling as mine. They basically said that the "quickness" I felt was me getting used to the car.

I'm not 100% pleased with the outcome but there's not much more they can do. They told me that they've run all the tests they can, plus drove the car for about 55 miles today

In other words, operator error. Is it just me, or are there quite a few of these paranoid "there's something wrong with my Accord" threads popping up??? I guess when you sell 30,000 cars a month... some drivers are inevitably going to make their way here and share their new perspectives. . Fun times.

How slowly were you accelerating? I've never been in a V6 accord that was "slow," or even remotely close to the description you stated in your first comment.

GLenk has a point... Did it coincide to the day you installed the larger rims? They will make it feel a bit slower..

I think you need a real sports car that gives you a thrill every time you step on the gas. Sounds like your first date got old very fast. I am glad it is not a mechanical or electrical problem with your car.

Yes it is just you.

If Dub felt there was a problem or a change in his perception of his car's habits it's not paranoia just concern.

Dub

It could also be the ECU learning your driving habits. Thanks for the honest description. I appreciate the honesty and learning experience.

Well, the dealer did every conceivable test and took the car for a 55 mile joy ride. No issues. Just unfamiliar "quickness." Whatever.

Happy to hear there was nothing wrong with it at least. Now are you planning on boosting it. That should help a bit

6 automatic is a gateway drug. Now that you have increased your tolerance, you need to step up to the 6 MT.
