I get about 450~500miles per tank of gas...but I must admit, when I go fill up, I only have about 1~2 gallons left in the tank...I use the cheapest gas there is, which means I usually wind up going to Costco to get regular...

I have an '04 Sedan EX, and I haven't run it down to E yet, but on my last fill-up I was at roughly 240 miles and I only put in 6.8 gallons, so I got about 35 mpg, I'm pretty happy with that.

Wow! You guys get really good mileage! I average 29 mpg on my 5spd 06 EX sedan during the summer and 27ish during the winters. We have 10% ethanol blended gas up here.

'06 LX I4 5speed manual
I've only owned it for 4 months, but I've checked mileage every tank. Best so far is 37mpg, worst so far is 28.5mpg. All other tanks have been 31 or better. I just switched from my Michelin X-Ice xi2 winter tires to Pirelli P4 summer tires last weekend. I'll be interested to see if that makes any difference. |

In city driving mpg varies widely depending on stop lights and stop signs. I can't go more than 1/2 mile w/o having to stop for something in my home town and only get 16-17 in town but well over 30mpg on the road with my 6peed 6 cylinder.

I saved my gas receipts for the past 3 months and noted how many miles I have done. Total average MPG = 29.8!
I do 20% city, 80% highway at 70 mph. Since it's the summer here, I have to run the AC as well. I drive with a light foot, overinflated my tires to 35 PSI (to reduce rolling resistance), keep the car empty (nothing in the trunk and just me in the car), and only fill up when I'm down to 5 gallons. Interesting as the fueleconomy.gov website gives 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway on the new calculations: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/2008c...f.jsp?id=23569

I think they must have just put out the summer gas because I have been romping on my accord in the nice weather and am still on pace to hit over 350 miles on this tank. With this driving I would expect at MOST mid to high 200s.
Anyway, easy 35 mpg on trips or 450+ on a tank. Easy going regular daily driving, around 350 a tank. "Spirited" driving less than 25. I head to get gas once the light comes on which is usually 13.5 to 14 gallon fill ups. |
