2001 power window dead
Hello all! I hate making a first post asking for help, but I figure this is the community to ask.
A few days ago my driver side window was significantly slowing down (especially when I was trying to get it to go up), especially about 3/4 of the way up. One time it actually wouldn't go back up, after going down and back up a couple times it finally went but it wasn't making a very nice sound (did I get some sand in the motor?). I didn't use it for a couple days fearing I wouldn't be able to get it back up, but I thought it may be the tracks were binding it up. I got ahold of some white lithium and put the window all the way down took the door panel off, lubed as much as I could and tried to get it to go back up. Again, it would make a noise about 3/4th of the way up and wouldn't go any further. I messed with it a bit but it's stuck now. It was getting dark so I left it overnight, in the morning my battery was dead (I had taken unplugged the controls too). I got a jump and tried it again, still stuck. This time I unplugged the motor (at least I think it's the wiring that goes to the motor). Window is completely stuck now, won't move at all, other windows work fine from the same control panel. So I need your help!
1. It's raining. Great. Any way I can get the window up before I get this fixed? It won't budge trying to pull the glass up with my hands.
2. Think it's the motor? The only way I can see to get at the motor is through the speaker hole, even then you can barely see it behind the metal door panel if you look at an angle. I couldn't find any instructions on what parts I need or how to swap this out, any advise?
Thanks all!
