Lightbulb Interior Lighting

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums. I didn't introduce myself yet in the welcome forum because I'm waiting to take pictures of my car to include.

So, I'm looking for advice on how and what to do in order to get lighting on the underside of my dashboard. I want the area around my feet and my passenger's feet to have a soft and low glow. I'm thinking a whitish or blueish would be the best color.

I've been looking and everything I see online shows a much brighter color than what I'm looking for.

Something like this is what I'm looking for... http://www.handaaccessories.com/civi...ivic-light.jpg

and NOT like this... http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/2776/small2ms1.jpg

the way they took the picture plays a trick on your eyes, its still going to be as bright as the second pics because 1st pic isnt dark at all, as the 2nd is pitch black except the neons.

That's a good point, if i put something in that is similar to what the dealer would put in, what exactly do they use? Also, where do you think i should put the switch?

i think thats exactly what he doesnt want, a bright kit.

i want one that looks oem as well, but the oem ones are expensiveeeeeee.
the ledglows are nice, but i dont want them bright blue, it can be distracting and kind of cheap looking. anyone have any alternatives? (maybe something similar to oem, or dark blue light, not bright blue?)

Get those Type S lights for the dash/interior at autozone. It costs about $15 bucks for a pair, and you hook em whatever you please. It's very subtle, and not bright.

I have the lumination kit too. I love that its not too bright but just enough to light up the foot well. Her is what is included in the kit,

And here is what is looks like,

I just wish that they included on for the middle cubby like the Civics.

Ya it's actually hooked up in my car soldered together with the ledglow kit. I don't have a camera at the moment, waiting for it to ship in.
