I use details supplies from "Griot's Garage" they dont advertise a lot but, the products are awesome. I detailed my TL using the paint sealer when I was in CT right before the winter and didnt have to wax again till spring. I wash my car usually once a week depending on weather and motivation and I use the "speed shine" everytime. I go pretty in depth with me change of season details too using clay then polish then wax then speed shine. These products are awesome and I would recommend them to anyone. If you want proof let me know and Ill send you before and after pics of my car when I wash it again on fri/sat.

Zaino...........Yes much better as a protectant not to restore, Although Z5 does well on swirl marks. The leather cleaner is the bomb. It makes the car smell new after 5 years LOL
I won't let the dealer wash my car......I'll bring it washed.

Zaino is a synthetic polymer protectant, as are many other popular wax products. I have a clear bra by 3M 5mil thick. 3M advises using a synthetic polymer protectant over clear bra and clear coat. There is some confusion about Urethane and Polyurethane, let me try to clear that confusion up.
Urethane is chemically known as Ethyl Carbamate (nineteenth century) known as an ester of carbamic acid chemical formula is NH20-COOC2H5 , but is not a component of polyurethanes. Polyurethane is often called urethane, but is not urethane, thus comes confusion. Polyurethane (abbreviated PU) is any polymer made of a hydrocarbon chain joined by (urethane) carbanmate links. Polyurethane polymers are formed through a step-growth process by reacting with a monomer containing isocyanate (super glue) with another monomer containing at least two Hydroxyl (alcohol) groups with a Catalyst. Polyurethanes are used in high performance sealants, seals, gaskets and hard plastic parts. Polyurethanes are often called ‘urethanes’ but should not be confused with specific substance Urethane, which is ethyl carbamate. I first used turtle polyurethane based wax in 1950s. After waxing I would throw a cotton rag over hood of car and it would slide to other side easily. Reflections were bright and clear. Since 50s there has been a wide range of polyurethane based synthetic waxes and sealants. Currently with my new Honda Accord I am using Zaino exclusively. I had used Girot’s Garage products on my previous car for several years, only recently switching to Zaino. Girot’s Garage products are compatible with Zaino, both being Polyurethane based synthetics. Regards Richard

OP: It really depends on:
1. The color of your car. 2. Is it driven daily or is it a weekend car?

As long as it beads and not sheets I'd say your better than most. Depending on the weather (which here in WA blows) I use more "touch up" or quick wax between actual waxes because I can do it in my garage and putting some kind of protectant on the paint is better than nothing. When the weather is real nasty I go through a touchless automatic wash, which I hate doing, then go home dry it and use some spray wax.
