The 8th generation, 2008-10 Inspire replica decklid spoiler is now on sale! As you may know, I got a company to replicate this popular spoiler for our sedans. After a full year of R&D it is ready. Many of you have followed my thread since day one. I really appreciate all the patience you have put up with. Well the wait is finally over!

I have FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) which can be painted by your local body shop as well as Carbon Fiber. They are held on using 3M automotive adhesive tape which is supplied. You can add more tape if desired. You can also have a body shop drill them on for you if you want, for added security. No hardware included, a competent shop will know what to do. The fit is just like OEM. It has gone through 3 seperate samples and test fitting on my own vehicle.

The sample on the picture is for sale. There's a slight nick on the left tip. It isn't noticable unless you look for it. When it's being prepped for paint it can be touched up easily. You'll also need fresh 3M tape. I'll give a $20 discount on top of the group buy price if anyone on the group buy list would take it. If no one takes it after the list is full, It will be $20 off the regular price.

Each spoiler comes in a sturdy box and have been packaged securely. If damages should occur through shipping, please file claim with the driver upon receipt. Sorry no returns but Insurrance will be included in actual shipping price. No profiting on shipping here!

Generally, carbon-fiber parts that are autoclave/pre-preg' are significantly lighter & stronger than their counterparts made of alloy, FRP, etc'. To the best of my knowledge, this carbon-fiber Inspire lip-spoiler is not autoclave/pre-preg', it's presumably wet-layup & may be vacuum-bagged.

However, carbon-fiber wet-layup vacuum-bagged is usually not lighter/stronger than FRP. It's more for an aesthetic/stylish statement. Think of it as an overlay (top-layer) of carbon-fiber weave over fiber-glass/resin/plastic vs. just a top-layer of fiber-glass as in FRP components. A case of form over function.

Obviously, carbon-fiber weave is more expensive that fiber-glass fabrics. But the resins/molds used are usually the same in the after-market.

Autoclaved pre-preg' carbon-fiber is what exotic supercars & aerospace industry use, and it's quite an expensive & involved process. . .

Here's the CF on my car plus one more FRP taken a few months back.
The gap between the trunk and the spoiler at the corner is there because since it was a mock up on my car, we didn't want to permanantly fix it to my car. That was the first sample of the CF. The second sample fit perfect. Once the CF ones show up I'll update the pics.

Congratulations to Pirate! He's my first costomer. We met up and so he saved on shipping Although I'm surprised he drove an hour to meet me. We checked out each others' cars and had a nice that. Looking forward to it getting painted and then a review Thanks again Pirate.
