96 Accord 4Cyl. hard to start sometimes

My 96 Accord somtimes is very hard to start, but once it started, the car run smoothly. Is the problem with the distributor? Also, I got CYP check engine, but it can be reseted if the car lucky started without hestitate. I already changed the new spark plugs and wires.

Anyone have any idea what wrong with it.

Thanks,

You don't state the MILEAGE on the car...or what other work you've had done to it.

While it MIGHT be an electrical issue...such as a defective distributor or faulty MSR (Main System Relay), I think your problem(s) are otherwise.

Condition of the FUEL system? Injectors? Fuel pump? Has the fuel FILTER ever been changed?

The car has 245k, I have not change the fuel filter. If the car run fine once it has started, can I assume the distributor is good ?

Thanks,

long shot question. i will try with a simple tune-up: change the distributor and the plugs. Then go for the fuel filter. Maybe that will help.
