They seem to fit my budget - will they fit in the doors and back deck under the OEM covers?

I am not sure as the tweeters may hit the speaker cover in the door and back deck. The only way to tell is to install them. There is some space but it is hard to tell from the pictures.

I do not remember the post but someone installed Polk coax speaker in the rear deck and they had to trim the plastic ring on the back side of the speaker grill. The door may be the same. I have physically seen the deck speaker grill but not the back side of the speaker grill in the doors. Crutchfield said the Polks would not fit but they did with minimal trimming of the plastic ring. On the back deck there looks to be enough room it is just the ring tha presses against the outside ring of the speaker. Probably helps with buzzing of the grill since the the ring presses against the foam on top of the OEM speaker.

Thanks - what speakers have people mounted under the OEM covers without trimming?

Yeah, kinda curious if those TR650's would fit without trimming?

The 6.5 do fit but you will need to modify the sail panels since the tweeters do not fit. Or you could just leave the stock tweeters. Your choice.

Thanks! I think I'll probably just drop the speakers in and leave the stock tweeters. This requires the Schosche door speaker adapters?

Yes, you will need the Schosche adapters. The "adapters" are part of the stock speakers. You will see what I mean when you pull them out. The adapters go into right where the stock speakers come out. You may want to put some type of "dynamat" material underneath the adapter to keep it from vibrating.

This is the component 6.5 NOT the coax version. The coax version will not work as the tweeter hits the cover.
