UPAC-HON1 comes with everything you need, one of the options you have to buy both pieces separately (I think its the PXAMG), check on Amazon.com I got mine from there. And it should also have iOS4 and iPhone 4 compatibility now.

I have an iPod hooked up that stays in my car. However, I have an iPhone that I occaisionally hook up to the adapter when it needs a charge, etc. It has always worked well on my iPhone 3Gs. Yesterday, I updated the phone to iOS4 and now it does not work with the adapter. I get an alert "This device does not work with iPhone." Its definitely a new error message. Problem is, I hit the dismiss button and the message pops back up continuously. Prior to the OS upgrade, I could just hit ok and the message would go away.

I'm getting an iPhone 4 (on order for next week) so I'll give that a whirl, but I'm assuming it will do the same thing. Anyone else give this a try yet?

UPDATE:
The PXAMG does not work with iOS4 unless you have a hardware upgrade. This is not just a software or firmware upgrade from your computer, its an actual circuit for the PXAMG. This page details the requirement PXAMG Product Details and this page has the new circuit jumpers NEW Apple iOS4 Authentication Circuit and finally, here are the instructions for installation. PDF Installation Instructions I think I might pass on this ordeal as I don't feel like pulling the head unit back out. I'll stick with using my regular iPod Nano for my music and just buy an official Apple CigLighter charger for the new phone.
Thank you for posting this information. Since Apple changes their iPhone format on what seems like a yearly basis we have to update the product all the time. If anyone else has this problem please contact AAMP of America at:

I just finished installing the ISimple gateway and its works fine. Installation went smooth due to the college hills video and the guide posted on this forum. Navigating the IPod thru the headunit does take a while to get used to and does have it's minor issues. Also I noticed that even when the vehicle is fully turned off the gateway still continues to charge the IPod, although I intend on taking my IPod when I leave my car. I wonder if this is normal and is there anyway to turn that off. Im afraid that if I leave it in too long while the vehicle is off it might drain the battery. What are your guy's input on this?

It is normal, says so right in the manual. No, you can't turn it off, and no it won't drain your battery. I leave mine plugged in while I am at work without any problems. It doesn't draw much power to charge the iPod. Since you have an '09 EX-L V6 (I assume no navi), you should have bought the Honda USB adapter from College Hills.

That adapter, unfortunately, works ONLY WITH 2010 MODELS... (As indicated on their website)

The PXAMG works great for me too...

Exactly. I would have definitely gone with the Honda adapter if it worked. Very odd it doesn't work with anything before 2010. But the ISimple gets the job done so I'm not complaining esp after hearing about not having any problems leaving the ipod in for extended periods.

Great, thanks!

If i'm buying a unit on ebay, is there anyway to tell if it's an updated version that will work? (Looks like a blue box with a big white label http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PAC-M...fAudioQ5fVideo)

Also, when a call comes, can you press speaker phone to hear it over the radio (and still use the iphones mic?) This works for regular aux input.

thanks!

I have the Isimple ISIM71 installed in my 2007 honda accord. I was wondering why the adapter stays on while the car is off and was wondering if there was a way to stop that from happening. Thanks
