Its not that bad for me to consider on taking them out.

Really?? Yeaaa I dont see good in rainy weather with 8000k, but I personally think its better than stock, thats just me. I cant see at all with stock in rainy weather too, i might slap some 3000k fogs to compensate for that.
I think you might be right that stock doesn't help any better on raining days either but not sure as i haven't really driven on stock for lil while now. As far as 3000k Hid fogs making it better that's totally out of the question because I have 3000k hid fogs and you cant see anything when you turn off the headlights. Still have to check to see if it fulfills the purpose on working in fogging days but we barely get any but it sure does have the good looks I put them on for

Yea that is true. 3000k yellow has the most penatration in adverse weather and it makes an ideal light to drive with

Really bad. A HID kit in fogs creates huge glare. The reasons are:

- the fog light is small and smaller lights create more glare than bigger lights
- the fog light is close to the road
- the fog light has no build in shield to block the glaring light from the tip of the bulb

In addition there will far too much light immediately in front of the vehicle. This will cause the eye's pupil to constrict which in turn will reduce long distance night vision.

It's simply not true that yellow light penetrates better than other light.

Yes, you are correct. That doesn't change the fact that yellow light does not penetrate better than light of any other colour.

Entertaining thread as always when it comes to HIDs.

I recommend 4300k for HID bulbs if you insist on putting HIDs in your stock headlamps. At least that way you will get the best temperature light. Dont worry about it being blue, believe me, you can rest assured people wont mistake your HIDs for "regular" bulbs.

I agree. The glare alone will let people know a HID kit is installed.
