Angry Installed aftermarket radio, now HVAC broken

I installed a new Alpine Stereo. That works great, however my HVAC system does not work. I installed a harness to convert the dual controls to single as recommended. However after I installed the harness, when I turned on the switch, the fan started running and NONE of the controls worked. I also saw some of the indicator lights come on and go off. So I immediately turned off the switch. I then disconnected everything and re connected the factory plugs back to the factory radio head unit. Now the HVAC will not function at all - all dead. Factory radio works good. I also noticed that the outside temp indicator no longer works. I'm not getting any help from Metra (the company I bought the harness from). I really need help from anyone on this forum. BTW I have an 06 Accord EX-L i4.

Why didn't you just go with the harness that would allow you to keep your dual zone climate control, thats what I and many other have done and it works perfectly. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2004-20...3#ht_500wt_986

or

or you could but this kit that has everything you need which is what I got

Check all fuses, even under the hood and pray you didn't short something out.

Heres how you know if you got the right one, you should have to put the two white pieces together, and then it actually get plugged back into the factory radio. If your harness isn't allowing you to plug into the factory radio it is not the correct one.

HVAC controls not working is a common complaint with these dash kits for the 7th Gen Accords. Those kits are just cheaply made. Might want to think about returning it and getting the kit that lets you put an aftermarket CD player in the storage cubby underneath.
