that doesn't look like high temp paint you used... gotta be careful and keep and eye on it and make sure it doesn't melt or bubble

Im liking this too... Looks clean. Think itll be my next "cheap" mod. & do agree that the strut bar would look dope if painted as well, although it probably outta be done with legit car paint, due to it being metal

So I finally got around to painting my engine covers today... I gotta say its a night & day difference under my hood! I chose to go with red (i know, very original, but my car is san marino red). I washed both covers, masked off the iVTEC panel, lightly sanded w/400, recleaned w/alcohol, 3 coats of primer, 5 coats of red krylon "banner red", 2 coats of clear. Also hand painted the raised "Honda" on the back side of the valve cover. Wanted to post a few pics if my job...

Please lemme know what ya think!

Looks great! And I know what you mean about the red. Depends on the car. Shouldn't paint something that wont look good just to be different. I kinda wanted blue accents, but ended up with red to keep the Type-R theme.

looks good - I'd throw two more coats of clear on it and start polishing with cleaner wax....
