My 2008 EXL-V6 sedan is almost 4 years old with 75000km. Have had major problems with it. Honda has been great at taking care of the problems but my car has not been as reliable as I was led to believe a Honda should be.

Right now the Honda engineers are looking at the transmission for the third time. I'm being patient and working with them and no doubt we'll come up with a solution but I doubt very much I'll buy another Honda product.

If I had to replace my Accord in the next few months I'd look very hard at the upcoming Ford Fusion and the Kia Optima.

Just make sure if you go w. the fusion your wheels don't fall off haha

I'm glad somebody is going to sell their car soon . Good luck with Fusion or Kia!!.

Its really unbelievable how people where comparing these and also including Hyundai cars with Honda, I drove all of them 2012/2013 models they all are no where close to how well my 7th gen is, specially the Hyundai's the steering is a mess like many suggest before and etc.

As to OP question, 7th gen? bought it at 36000km and now 73000km still runs like when I first got it

I'm sure someone, somewhere, is going to sell their car. Why would you be glad about this?

Hyundai comes with electric steering to improve mpg. Probably Honda puts electric steering in 9g accord. That is the primary difference.

[QUOTE=gentledental4u;934040]Long time no see!! Great to see you posting on here again! Congrats on having it paid off. IT's a fantastic feeling, isn't it?

I'm also happy with the car. I've learned a lot about cars through this one. Learned some quirky things like the VSA causing the brakes to go out sooner than non-VSA cars. Not switching from D to R in the snow, etc. etc.

Yeah married life has me occupied with other things so I'm not on as much. It's good to see the site is still going strong though. I agree that I've learned a lot about cars from being a member here.

Its been 4 years this past March with 170,000kms (105,000 miles) on my 8th gen and its been running great. Only problems were VTC Actuator which was covered under warranty and early brake wear issues, however these issues easily resolved the car is driving great with regular maintenance, just like day one!

3 years, 60K flawless miles here. Only issues are rattling center console, and now the door is starting to squeak a bit when I hit a bump. Other than that I love this car and hope I have it until it falls apart.

3 years, 25K miles. No problems besides the premature brake wear, and some minor rattling coming from the steering wheel.
