Roof rack and accessories

I'm looking to get a roof rack set for my Accord in May, and I think i have settled on Yakima for my car, despite my father having Thule for his Subaru. I was looking on Yakima's site, and i was trying to figure out which length of bars i should get. I was thinking 58in, what's the recommended size for the 2007 Accord? Another question too, I really like the kayak attachment for Thule, and since we already have one, could I possibly use it on the Yakima bars? Here's what the Thule attachment i have looks like: Now we currently have the square bars for the Thule, and they work good, but do you think that this might work for the circular bars for Yakima? I would rather use this over buying another one for my car.

Oh to those who are curious, I actually did email that ORS place to see what they think, and they said that the Thule rack would fit on the Yakima bars, so that saves me about $200.

I just got a Yakima bike rack. Bought mine at REI. Haven't gotten to use it yet due to weather, but I can check what the lengths were if you'd like.

I also have the SKS Locks and a fairing, but that goes along with all of their racks.

Hey no problem on the wait seminolems. One more question for you, how far out do your bars extend? Do they extend past the towers a few inches, like have you ever bumped your head on them at all? Thanks

They barely extend passed the towers. There are two options for length, and I opted for the shorter of the two.

That looks really nice, I think i might do your setup. I'm getting ready to place an order, or at least send my order to my father so i can get it for my birthday :-). Though i'm trying to decide between the highroller and the frontloader bike holders. I would rather to not take my front wheel off. I like the way mine looks but it is up to personal preference. I've seen a ton of cars with both the shorter and longer and I don't need the added length. I only have my one bike in its not necessary. I'm glad you like my setup and glad my pictures helped with your decision. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I actually just put an order through with ORS racks with the 58in bars and the Highroller bike mount. I'm thinking about cutting down the bars to fit a good length.

I finally got mine in the mail and all hooked up yesterday. I have to say it looks great, and there's absolutely no wind noise, which is awesome. I posted it in the gallery:
