Any way to change Trans. shift points
My 2006 V6 is driving my nuts trying to lug around all the time like its some kind of torque monster. Is there any way to change the shift points to keep the rpm's up? I can do this with programmers on my Dmax and my 5.4L Triton, but can't find anything on the Accord.

You can use a piggyback ecu such as the Greddy eManage. Im having one put on my 04 accord ex v6.

The only downside to my setup is im the first so they have to make the schematics so it can be wired properly.

This seems like more trouble than it's worth. I'd look into a manual, but if this were easily possible it'd be interesting.

If you know a good mechanic that does lots of computer work the new ecu can be knock out in a day. The other plus to the ecu is being able to tune everything else.

6 speed manual swap. Automatics drive the driver.

Not worth the swap. Might as well by a manual car as a whole.

Ohh it's worth it in every way. The only con is cost.
That auto tranny is the weakest link in these cars. The failure rate is ridiculous and the OP wanting to hold the RPM's high longer would only put more stress on it. The gearing in the 6 speed keeps you within a good power band everytime you shift and you get one extra gear.
