Mazdaspeed 6?? What do u think.

So im looking for a more sporty car, and came across the mazdaspeed 6, what do u guys think of it? It looks pretty mean lol, or what other alternative is there? Like i like the accord and the v6 6 speed, so acceleration is good. But the handling ****s, and i have upgraded wheels and rear type s sway bar, plus the brakes are very week. What eapecially bothers me is excessive body roll and rattles. Brakes can be upgraded. So im thinking on either selling my car or maybe i can fix these issues.

I personally think that the newer styling of Mazdas looks kind of crappy/cheap. If I were to get a Mazda, it would be like an 08 body style. (Right before they switched.)

Mazdas are truly known for being fun to drive and pretty peppy. The Speed 6 seems pretty reputable from what I have read. Here is a good article.

I like the Acura TL, but that is more expensive.

I think the speed 6 was only like 2006-2007. I dont like the new onea either, but the speed6 looks like a good performer, and with a drop a wider tires it should be good, plus ive watched videos and they take 350z and s2000 pretty easy, im just concerned with reliability, how long do they last? And the acura tl is nice, by cousin has a base 2007 tl, but i want a 6 speed and thats only the type s, which are freakin overpriced and barely faster than my 6-6 accord.

I know Mazda has its fans, and twice in the last year I've driven rental Mazda 3s and actually enjoyed the experience. It seemed to be more fun than the Civic. So things may be changing at Mazda as they seem to be with Honda, because every other Mazda I've ever driven seemed a lot better on paper than it actually was behind the wheel.

The MazdaSpeed line up looks good "3-6". They have an aggressive look and there also pretty quick.

Ive done research and watched youtube videos and with a drop and nice wheels, they look mean, and their brakes are good and great handeling, but i just dont kbow how reliable they are, has anyone had one, or knows anythng about them, they have an rx8 rear differential with lsd and its beefed up, but idk about the engine, although me amd my dad are really mechanicaly inclined so we can tear up an engine and fix it in a day, but how expensive is parts and how is the turbo??? Never had a turbo car, only engines i had were vtec.lol

I know two people that own a speed 6, beast car, I think you can get them with AWD.
But when I told one of them that I got an accord he said his will brake 3 times before anything happens to the accord, youre talking trouble when pushing turbos.
Just depends if you need all that power, ECU reflashes can get noticable gains also.
Speed 3 is a quick car but only in the power band, up to 3-4k rpm its still an econo mazda

I know they arnt reliable as a honda, but the regular mazda 6 is pretty good. Well my neighbor has an v6 5mt and he killed his engine by WOT on freeway, but i wont tune the speed 6 is i get one, maybe cold air, but it should be enough power, but i would tune the suspention, my friends brother has a 4cyl mazda 6, its pretty good, but i just want handeling, my friwnd has a g35 coupe and i live the flat cornering, and its great handeling.

if you looking for handling power and reliabilty get a subaru wrx or STI, mad car, the handling is unbelievable. We went into one of those no outlet streets and he gunned it around the circle to turn around, the tires didnt even squeal.
Nowadays if seems you need AWD to have good grip and handling

Sometimes Mazda does some extremely stupid things. Not assembly line errors or parts from suppliers breaking down while still new but design errors. For example, the Mazda 6 gas tank and pump problem is very well documented as one of those design mistakes. I give lots of credit to companies like Honda who even though occasional mess up with assembly or parts suppliers, they really never make design errors because they think and double think what they are doing on the drawing board.
