can you put accord seats in a civic?

So I had this beautiful customized 03 accord ex, loved the seats, because they were so comfortable (just stock), some idiot hit me and totaled it ($10K+ in damages) as you all know the insurance companies give you nothing, 1/4 the price of your car... so I went from a 2003 Accord to a 1995 Civic, but hey, at least it is a ex and it takes me from point a to b.

The seats in these older civics are so damn uncomfortable. If I were to go to a junk yard, would I be able to put Accord seats, S2000 seats, or Prelude seats in a civic? or does anyone know of what seats would be better in a civic? I am tall and the old civic seats right under the head rest has a huge missing piece and it really hurts the hell out of a persons back.

I'm surprised the insurance company really didn't pay out that much. I paid $6,100 for my '03 TL when I bought it 3 years ago. It was totalled in March of this year and they gave me $8,000. They screwed me around for about a month and keep denying full liability (it was the other driver's fault), but they still paid out in the end.

Check the part numbers on-line. If they do not match between models, you will have big problems with the airbag sensors.

I can't help you on what from an Accord will fit a Civic, but if you do find a set to try, make sure they're not the cloth ones from a base model coupe. That's what I have and they're awful too; they really kill your lower back on a long drive. I'd love to swap them out to the leather ones from an EX (I've heard those are comfy) but I don't want to deal with the airbag light.

It's easy. Just try to bolt it up. If it doesn't fit, hack off the stock seat rail and attach the civic seat rail to the accord seat (or which ever one you decide). People do this all the time with the older accords.

damn man sorry to hear about the accident, but I think the other guys insurance should of payed for everything, not just 1/4, sounds like you got ripped off

Yea follow thegrouch on that one people do it allot swap the rails should work as long it's not something ridiculous like a 18 wheeler seat and a civic seat swap. Accord and Civic should be fine though. I would fight the insurance company you got screwed over big times.

In addition, make sure to measure the seats width and length to ensure it will fit in the area for the seat in the civic.

As a past owner of a 1996 Civic and 2006 Accord, I will stay no. The seats in the Civic are smaller, than the Accord. *

* of course, one can make anything fit with time + $$$.

Seats from an Integra would be a "direct" fit. I don't know how direct it is, but seen many Gen 6 Civic guys with Integra seats, and looks OEM, and not an once out of place.
