Mirror mod

Saw this for the 8th gen decided to share it here to.

http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=67098
I don't see a problem with us doing the same thing. I think it is neat personally I love car's with turn signals in the mirror. They are expensive though, this is a lot cheaper!

I found this after seeing the 8th gen one http://www.355nation.net/forum/image...-see-here.html

More features that communicate one's intentions to other drivers is a good thing. I rigged up a ghetto side-marker until I can afford a TSX mirror swap. No more close calls on the freeway during lane changes.

As "ghetto" as that may bbe as you call it, I believe that is more effective than the "pretty" led turn signal that is in YOUR side view mirror and coudl easily go un-noticed. Yours would be hard to miss, which is the point of this "communication" well, it also looks cool too

Zetaroy, could you give some info as to where you purchased the item as well as the installation process in short, where you tapped into the signal. I likey, me want! Thx

I got the 6" amber LED strips from VLEDS. Unfortunately, it looks like they're currently out of stock. http://www.v-leds.com/Strip-Lights-L...-p9746998.html
Basically, I just fished the wire through a small gap in the front fender and T-tapped it to the front turn signal wires which is red w/ blue stripe on the driver's side and brown on the passenger side.

I like it but I don't know if I would chose the same spot, I would stick it under the mirror or something. In my last car I wired up white led strip's under my mirror to come on when I unlocked it. I wonder how it would be to tap into the blinker and have it come on with the doom light.
