AC/Heat Doesnt work at all & I cannot adjust side mirrors.

Hi, I drive a 2004 Honda Accord LX 4 door 4cyl and my ac/heat does not turn on at all nor do the lights indicating that it is turned on. Also I cannot adjust my side mirrors via the switch on the driver side door. I'm thinking it has to do with the fuses located where you would open the trunk and hood of the car, but I'm not exactly sure which ones they are.. I'm having trouble reading the fuse box diagram, so if anyone could please let me know which fuse number or name I should be looking for that has to do with the AC and/or the adjusting of my side mirrors I'd appreciate it.

OK thank you 04blkpearlcoupe, what you suggested worked, fuse #30 was empty while fuse #23 was occupied and I looked at the list and it seemed like fuse #23 did not belong where it was. This whole thing started when I went to a stereo shop because my amp stopped working(I have an aftermarket sound system) I saw the guy at the shop messing around with my fuses, so I figured it had something to do with that, but the guy at the stereo shop said my side mirrors and Heat/A/C had nothing to do with the fuses he was messing with..(guess he didn't know what he was talking about or just lied). Now I'm not entirely sure fuse #23 which says "IGP" on the fuse diagram was empty or not to begin with before the stereo shop dude messed with it, but after removing the fuse from #23 and putting it on #30 everything works fine.. only problem is that my engine light has now lit up and even when I put the fuses back like they were before I switched them the engine light stays on.. so I don't know if me switching the fuses caused it or it was a coincidence. I guess I'll need to take it to a Honda dealer when I get my oil changed or something.

If this makes sense to anyone please let me know If what I did what the right thing, thanks.

Glad it fixed it for you! The engine light will stay on because you probably tripped an engine emissions code by running the car without that fuse in it and the only way to get the engine light to go off as far as I know is to reset the ECU. You should be able to do it by just disconnecting the battery for several minutes.

Hopefully your radio won't need a security code after disconnecting the battery. I've done it and mine works, but I heard that on some hondas you need to enter a security code to get the radio working again. If you have the original manual the code might be in there or else you have to call the dealership with your VIN number and owner info to get it.

In any case, you can just drive around with the engine light on. Its annoying but there's nothing actually wrong with the engine. The computer just thinks something malfunctioned.

It looks like fuse #23 does have a purpose according to the pic you linked to. Try getting a new one for that slot and see what happens after driving a while. You could also go to an autoparts store and see what code is stored.

I looked up what the IGP fuse is for and its something to do with the fuel injection system (PGM-FI). Now that the fuse is back in there should be no problem, but the engine light is designed to stay on until a mechanic (or you) resets the ECU so that a mechanic can check what error code was triggered before it disappears. There is actually a panel of little LED lights under the passenger side carpeting which flashes the error code every time you turn the key until the ECU is reset.

The engine light is just for emissions equipment (computer-controlled sensors and controllers that keep the pollution coming out of your exhaust under control). Its designed to get you to a repair shop because your car is polluting the air. If something was really wrong with the engine itself the engine light would not come on to warn you.

The thing is I removed the fuse from #23 which is IGP ("A/C diode (V6), A/F sensor relay") and put it in slot #30 which is IG HAC - Powers my A/C, Windows, Defogger etc. Also I was thinking the "(V6)" in the description of fuse #23 is for 6 cylinder cars only? But mine is a 4 cylinder, so that means I wouldn't need a fuse in slot #23, right?

A/C Diode (V6), AF Sensor Relay

So A/C diode for the V6 and also AF Sensor Relay no engine specified so I4 and V6. Put 23 back in.

So #23 is more important than #30, till I can buy another fuse to have both in place or perhaps remove a fuse from another slot?

OK, so what I did was just remove the windshield washer motor fuse (#20) and put it on slot #23 since spraying my windows with water isn't that important at the moment.. so now I have fuses in both #23 and #30(they're both 7.5 Amps), till I can buy another fuse, then I'll put one back in #20. So I guess the stereo shop guy either didn't put the fuse back where it belongs and put it somewhere else or didn't put it back at all.. thank you guys for the help.
