haha seriously. it seems like those cars were made with purpose.

well after sleeping on it a bit, i've narrowed it to just fixing the issues or trading it in for a 2012 i4 which depends on how good of a deal i can get. i think i will wait until right before the 2013s start showing up on lots (i'm guessing late august) and pulling the trigger then.

a general question: does everyone put their car back to stock when trading in?

i've been reading about the deals people have been getting on brand new 8th gens and it got me wondering... should i trade in my 09 ex-l v6/navi coupe for a brand new one?

there are enough problems with mine (steering column, brakes, rear deck rattle, window trim, AC blower, squeaky suspension/clunks, misfitting rear bumper, to name a few) that while im not actively looking to replace it, i find myself peeking at cars.com/autotrader.com to see what's out there. of course, the main issue is that i dont have any warranty remaining on the 09 so the peace of mind of a brand new car might be enough to push me over the edge (i bought used)... if the price is right. i realize i will be losing cash on the deal but im hoping the used car market will net me decent trade-in value.

what do you guys think? along the same line, if i go through with it, what's a reasonable amount to ask for trade-in? 19k? THANKS!
WoW ya hit the jackpot, and it is an 09' even... I don't think anyone here could top that!

I guess you bought it used without adding a warranty of some kind.

alright, just got back from the dealer. they fixed most of my problems... free of charge (got an oil and brake fluid change too)! i think i've decided to keep the car... it's nearly paid off and running well. one surprise i got was that my left front strut is leaking. although with the number of potholes i whacked in the first couple months of owning this car, i am not TOO surprised.

i think this means that it's time to jump off the eibach pro kits and onto some coils. anybody have experience running megan ez's long term? or should i keep the eibachs and add koni struts? i know this is a topic that's beat to death on this forum but i would appreciate some advice. not looking to slam, just want a classy look along with a smooth ride.

If you're having problems with leaks, I recommend either BC Racing for durability, or like you said, swapping to Koni struts on your current springs, which are awesome.
