That may be how you guys see it , as you have not had any major changes, it increases when you go and get another policy or make major changes to it,then the a no fault accident comes into play. Let me prove it to you. Below is on online quote from Geico and the 4th screen it asks you if you have had any accidents, REGARDLESS OF FAULT. Trust me, they would not ask if it was not being taken in account later on. My point was if its small, fix it yourself, as every accident, no matter what, will come back later on you:

I went through this process when I switched to USAA. I had 2 previous accidents (not at fault) on my record and when I switched to USAA, they saw the accidents on my record. I told USAA I wasn't at fault (They asked so apparently they didn't know). I had to scan and upload copies of the police reports. I also had to provide USAA with my previous insurance company info and policy number (I'm guessing they contacted them and asked for info about the accidents).

In your Geico picture, it says "If so, select Yes to give us more details". I'm assuming someone with past accidents will probably have to go through the same process I did.

honestly with ur deductible... itd prob be best just to get it fixed on ur own... cuz if u put in a claim with ur insurance ull have to pay for your deductible and then ur premium can go up... Theres no police report either. You could park somewhere and say it was a hit and run call a cop to the scene and go from there but thats getting risky... I hit a deer a while back and my deductible is $500 i fixed everything for 375 did it myself... sooooo yea... i would order a new painted bumper and its super simple to swap

OP, you are both at fault as far as I know.

Both backing out of a parking space; it matters not that you had stopped.
Until you have completely backed out of the spot and are clear of impeding the main roadway, it is your responsibility to safely back up.

Good luck. Sorry for your luck. This same event happened to my sister. Fortunately no damage.

This is incorrect.

First: The other driver is required by law to have her license with her whilst driving (at least here in CA). If one does not carry a license, even if one has a valid license sitting at home, it can be cited as an infraction.

Second: An "attempt" at exchanging information is not the same as actually exchanging information. Let me share a story:

My wife was sideswiped by a car. Its driver kept driving, but slowly, and she stayed behind the driver, expecting the car to stop. Two miles later, having driven into a dead end, the car stopped. The passenger in the car jumped out and started taking photos, and generally hovering over my wife in an attempt to intimidate her. The driver offered a license number written on a piece of paper but my wife asked for the actual license. When the driver did not produce a license, my wife dialed the CHP. At that point, the driver and passenger got into their car, made a U, and drove away. My wife wrote the plate down.

The CHP officer arrived and took everything down. He told my wife to go home, and that he would come to our place with a final report soon. It turned out that the car was registered to the passenger, and the license number written on the piece of paper was actually the driver's! The CHP officer arrived with a photo lineup for the driver and another for the passenger. My wife correctly picked both faces out of the six photos in each lineup. They were prosecuted for hit-and-run. Our insurance company shared all the information with us.

We still don't know why they actually ran since they had given my wife proper information. Some who have heard this story suspect they had contraband in their car at that time and did not want to have to deal with the police. Who knows why people do the things they do!

Thanks everyone for your help!! Finally got the car to a shop. The estimate is about 8K to fix everything.

Question..will the 2012 Bumper and grille fit on my 2010 accord??? I'm asking them to do that for me...

because while the design is slightly different, the bumper and grill are direct bolt ons to the 8th gen frame. 08-10 bumper only fits the 08-10 grill, 11-12 bumper only fits the 11-12 grill. as long as you have the matching bumper/grill set it will fit on the 8th gen body.
