Bluetooth handsfree available?

Before I bought my Accord I was looking at a 2006 Maxima. It had a handsfree bluetooth thing built in and was actually very handy to use.

Is this available on our Accord? I would love an OEM one that integrates with the radio to switch between calling and radio, but it wouldn't be absolutely necessary.

Also how hard would it be to install? I'd like to mount the mic in that area near the sunroof where it's supposed to be. Would that be too much hassle to route the wire up there?

I don't think there is an OEM one but parrot make's a lot of aftermarket ones. Sun roof routing shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, I'm looking at those. I'm not sure what I'm wanting. That or just something to play music from my iPhone, or nothing at all. I don't talk much on the road, so it may not be worth it for me to buy those.

As far as the iPhone attachment, I haven't decided where I want to run the cable to so I'm just going to hold off. That's too much money to have just sat around for me to figure out what I want.

My GPS doubles as a hands-free cell phone connection via Bluetooth. The GPS is a Garmin 3790 and it has its own speaker and mike built into the mount, which I have more or less permanently mounted in the car. When I get into the car with the phone the GPS and the phone automatically connect with each other, a small icon illuminates on the GPS screen, and then it works. The sound quality of the GPS hands-free system is better than the phone alone on 'speaker phone' and the connection has no effect on the GPS itself, not even on the voice-command activation.

A friend gave me his older parrot unit and it's great. So great, in fact, that my wife wanted one. We found one on 1saleaday.com made by blue ant that works nicely and my wife uses it all the time.
If my next car doesn't have BT on board, I see myself using the parrot a lot. The sound quality is excellent and people tell me that they couldn't tell I was on speakerphone. It sure beats having those goofy bt headsets on or wearing the earbuds to talk. Only occasionally have I noticed any trouble hearing the person on the other end of the line, though you do have to have your windows up (which I imagine is true of even the best on board units).
You can buy decent aftermarket BT speakerphones starting at about $40, depending on what features you want.

Frankly, even though this forum has a lot of very nice people, the few bad apples around here have gotten on my nerves. I simply don't care enough to log on and try and help others when all too frequently, I get mocked or made fun of.

I think I'm going to have to use Numbers to make a spread sheet on this.

If your car has the cd changer controls you can use something like the Dice Mediabrige. I put one in my 03 last year, and have come to rely on it. Phone connected to the stereo via BT to play Pandora, listen to mp3s and audiobooks, as well as make and receive calls (no hand held phone usage in Chicago...)

Downside? Its a little expensive... But considering that I don't have an easy way to replace the entire stereo it was the best option.

So USA SPEC has the BT35-HON now and I'm really considering getting this. I just want to see any reviews just to make sure everything's good.

Any suggestions on this? Would there be something better? Should I look for a wired solution? I like not having to drill holes into cubbies since I'm not sure where I want the cable coming from.

I'm also a little worried running the cable through/behind the A-pillar. They have air bags and I'm not sure how easy they'll be to remove.
