Define terrible - I have a '12 6-6 that gets like 15ish driving around city. And I mean real city driving, like constant starts and stops, not going past third gear, etc.

On highway I get like 27 or something though.

My first oil is at about 15 or 20% right now, so maybe mine will go up when I have it changed later...

I drive similar car, 2011 SE Sedan, and have been experienced an average of 425-450 miles per tank (from full to empty light). I drive ~80 miles round trip each day with 50/50 city/hwy traffic.

Also use regular 87 fuel and Mobil 1 Advanced Economy synthetic oil.

I did a 125 mile test, doing 3 ~ 5 mile runs in D3, stop signs, signal lights and cross traffic turns, along with cold starts with A/C on in our high heat area (nothing under 95 in the day). I have a feeling I did not have my tank completely filled, as I did say I got about 20 MPG. Now that I am doing my second run before doing a 550mile trip, I see an improvement since checking my milage (over 35 miles). The needle has not moved. Since I have not done anything else but change to a different filling location, maybe some stations are selling sub par petrol.

I notice that 10% is the only option at most stations.

I have got an oil change. Let me point out, and I should have been more detailed. I drive about a mile each way to work, 5 days, plus another round trip during work about 5 miles total. This is all in the city (not congested, though). I do probably 10-15 miles a day additionally while doing other things. Weekends, I drive, with about 20 miles of highway. I noticed that everyone who is getting these 320+ tanks do have at least some highway commute. Still I feel my car under performs.

Your super short commute is what's killing your mileage. Before your engine warms up your car is running super rich. By the time your engine warms up and gets into "closed loop" mode, you're already at work. Plus with so many short trips, the percentage of time you spend in parking lots and driveways and other gas mileage killing areas is going to be way higher than someone who has a 15 mile commute.

Just realized, when I worked about 7 miles away, about a 15 minute commute, and I didnt do the short trips during work at that point, plus, I was going to school 12 miles away twice a week, with some highway driving, the performance was still very similar. It was during the first two months of my car though, and I wasnt using the AC too much because it was winter.

Hmm it does look low, I drive in Jersey City which has probably one of the Worst stop & go Traffic, I just did my first refill yesterday, my car did 270 miles & the Trip computer showed that it could do around ~25 more. This is 40% Hwy, 70% City. And its a V6.

my i4 coupe: 330 miles for full tank (around 16.5 gallon) = ~20mpg half freeway half local. i usually do under 75 on freeway cause i've gotten a ticket for 82 before.
i drive a bit aggressive on freeway.

Wow, 16.5 city with an I4. I know the 8th gen Accord is heavier than previous years. You did say a bit aggressive, maybe a little so with city driving too.

I can't wait to complete my second test run for city MPG. I am hoping for 23 MPG with A/C and cold start short runs.

It may end next week at 80 miles, before we do our Holiday run.

That should be good enough for comparison to my 125 mile city test @ 20 MPG.

That is about the same for our ol V6 Solara (20 city, 30 hwy), though the Accord has so much more power from the engine.

it's crazy, i know. but i'm not freaking out because my friend I4 gen7 does the same thing 330-350 for full tank (do they have smaller tank?)
in local i remain calm because i can't speed much.
what i mean by aggressive on freeway is i always downshift while entering freeway, when i reach to 75. that's it; i leave it to D and keep my lane.
reading you guys comment about 450 or even 550mpg now make me a bit worried. haha

I have a '10 6-6 and drive 40% city/60% highway. I fill up around the half tank mark at 310-320 miles, never had to empty the tank because I fill up every Sunday before work. I have a Megan Racing exhaust and Takeda SRI intake which is helping with the mileage.
