Degreaser that won't harm wax?

Looking at adding a light degrease on the bottom half of the car to the wash routine to loosen up road grime prior to a rinse and wash with the Gilmour. However I don't want to hurt the wax job in the process.

Anyone have anything they use? If possible, would like to be able to get it local instead if ordering online. But that isn't a deal breaker.

Searched everything and most info is for engine bays. Thoughts DA? Thanks!

A product for removing grease will indeed strip any and all protection from the paint. Why do you feel this step is necessary?

Duragloss Bug and Tar remover says it won't strip wax and seems pretty mild. Avail on autogeek.net use promo code "freeship".

Or just use a heavier concentration of car shampoo in those areas. Then I'd follow up with a quality spray wax afterwards. Or a spray sealant.

Well......kinda. It says "Duragloss Bug Remover is so safe, it will not remove durable paint protection, such as sealants" citing their own #111 sealant as an example. They hint that it's wax safe but don't really say that.

I'd still go over it with Aquawax (a sealant) afterwards when using something like this.

The directions are kind of interesting. Hose car down, spray the stuff on there then wash and rinse. Seems very mild compared to something like Surf City Grime Destroyer. With the DG shampoo it says it can be used full strength as a tar remover.

That was kind of what I thought....didn't think it was really possible to not hurt the wax. Every now and again I get some decent road grime that rinsing doesn't quite do the trick on and I didn't want to roll right into a wash. But two cycles should do the trick.
