The Michelin Primacy MXV4 does well in the rain/wet ('Superior' per Tire Rack)

Driving my 6M thru a SoCal storm two years back - I saw 4 major accidents on I-5, S/R 57, S/R 210 and I-405). Rain, Rain, Rain. No hydroplaning, loss of traction et al ad nauseum. Very impressive to this sailor.

Yes, they are pricey (one of the reasons I stayed in the Reserve - extra $$$)

Indeed, H or V (they wore similarly) they are a top choice imo and the opinion of many others. For 6$ more I got the V rated last time. I keep the car aligned so they wear evenly and I paid a bit over three hundred when prorated. Less than half price as I got about half the warranty, though that's mostly my driving habits.

Majority of the questions asked in forums, especially ones as common as "which tires", or "which brake pads", or "which wax", or "which speakers" have been asked numerous times before, using search function will yield a wealth of information if a new user cared to take advantage of the knowledge from questions which have been asked, and answered before.

BTW sodaks2K was pretty reasonable in his initial response to your "which is the best tire?" question, you would likely have been chastised in some of the other forums for not using the search function for such a basic question.

Lastly, you initially asked what are the best tires without giving any parameters such as the I4 or V6, driving style, budget, performance level, wear, comfort, dry/wet performance, noise, summer, winter, all-season, etc, it is not much different than asking "what is the best car to buy" without stating budget, purpose, performance etc.

As you have realized since your initial post, the "right" brand/size/type of tires for one person is not likely right for everyone else who drives an Accord, it's an impossible question to answer at best, which was exactly why sokaks2K very helpfully recommended the two of the most well-known and informative websites for such information, as well as the search function.

Enjoy doing some reading (and Googling) of your own and decide on the right tires for you, and your Accord.

People come here to look for an opinion on the accord. I for one am willing to entertain the same question as many times as asked. Tirerack opinions differ from creports and all other tire sites. Geesh.

People just want confirmation that they made a good decision. I have Michelin Primacy MXV4s on both of my 7th Gens. They last longer, feel safer, and perform better than any other tires I've used. They're the best.

I had those on my silver 7.5 gen. Not really a fan as they wore kinda fast and not as much traction as the BFG traction ta's I had on my 7 gen. However the bfg tractions don't come in 215/50/17. From what I've read a couple months ago a lot of people have good things to say about Goodyear TripleTreads. I personally haven't tried them but was going to be what I got next if I didn't lose my last 7.5. I'm currently running some kinda non factory michelins that came with my new 7.5 and don't have any complaints.

I know it's an old thread but I'll post for future searchers.

I have Toyo Versado LX II Luxury Touring H. They come in V also, I have the H. They don't sell them at Discount and they're not real easy to find.

They are very nice tires, very smooth and quiet. They ride excellent. Depending on how long they last (I've put 14,000 on them so far), I will probably buy the same tires again when I get new ones.

I can't compare them to anything because they were almost brand new, just replaced tires on my car when I got it and I haven't had anything else on this car. I have never had Toyo tires before, or even heard of them, but I like them very much and suspect they might be why my car is so quiet (hardly any road noise), smooth riding and well behaved on the road. This is the smoothest quietest Accord I've ever driven and I think it might be the Toyo tires.
