Quite pricey up North. I can get the Michelins for about $700 from Sam's club down here in Louisiana.

IMHO.............you made a good call. They wear like iron (but ride much better)........at 55,000, I'm measuring 7/32.

I think somewhat pricey (but your dollars are different). Quiet. Long-lasting. Wet traction.

Works for me.

(And I drink Canadian whiskey too). 1st choice: C/R; a not-so-close second: VO. Hang in there, northern neighbor.

I had quite the luck this weekend. Bought the tires friday but costco refused to install them because some of my "tuner" lug nuts were rusted and didnt tork well. didnt have the dough to get new ones so got a refund. bummed out of my 907.75$ CAD purchase I desided to waite. Well today found the same Michelin MXV4 205/60R16 92V with 400km wear being sold on kijiji for 450. got them for 380$ cash! what a deal! now I just need to find a garage for the install/balance. btw I did replace those lug nuts, turned out I had spares!!

I purchased some conti dws extremes and got them mounted and balanced at walmart - I know it may seem like a dumb idea but the guy I talked to seemed pretty smart and after it was all done, I am driving on them with zero problems, no problems at high speeds or anything.

I think it just depends on the luck of the draw. You can get lucky if on the day you go there is someone who knows what they are doing, and sometimes you get an idiot. Nice find on the wheels.

Late to the game, I had the MX V4 OEM tires when I first got my car, IMHO they are only good for endurance, I was not impressed with them in the wet or during spirited cornering, or even medium level braking!!

I ended up getting 235-55/17 Bridgestone RE960 tires on Acura TL rims, could not be happier now on the 4th summer with them.
