I have a 6 speed knob laying around and was going to do a swap with my 5spd accord, but it probably wouldn't look right. Especially if you lend the car to someone, and tries to put it in 6th. That would be catastrophic, lol.
Have you guys seen any good 5 speed knobs?

My new shift knob

I took a while picking out the shift knob that I liked the most but there weren't many options that were stunning or anything so i settled with this one. I'm still working on getting new liner for the shift boot and center armrest since they just started falling apart.

It's the Fastline Maven countersunk shift knob in aluminum

Pros: weighted, countersunk, it makes the throws more solid and firm compared the the oem garbage that ended up breaking on me

Cons: It gets hot as shiet since I live in Texas, so I have to cover it with a towel and drive with 1 ac vent cooling it down to a normal temperature before i take the towel off.
anybody come up with another way to prevent these metal knobs from absorbing so much heat from the shifter??

Put a stock over it when you leave the car. Works for me.

That looks SWEET! I think I might go for the black aluminum for mine. Not bad for 70 dollars, not bad at all!

In the meantime, I dug out the weighted knob I had for the Mazdaspeed 3. The threads aren't a perfect match so I couldn't fully screw it on, but it's snug enough. At least there's some substance to it. I guess I can live with it until I buy something better.

thanks man! but yeah, it was going to be this one or the black one. Should consider it if you have 70 dollars lying around lol. If you wanted more space in your speed3 knob you could you could drill into it like the guys who mod tsx knobs for our cars.

@12Blk_accord thanks man, I'll swap to a sock and try it out!

That looks great. The problem is aluminum is one of the more conductive metals for heat. Not sure if there is much you can do besides cover it. Maybe get a classy leather "sock" made for it!

lol, surprisingly I thought of that before and I've seen it used in some other car forums as well. Maybe I find one lying around i'll go ahead and use it. In the mean time though I'm content with the towel I'm using

Will have to see what's left after bills this payday.

None taken. We all have different tastes. I like the blue but it does kinda clash with everything. I don't know...
