I hope they stole it for just joyride if not then its getting parted out. Honda getting stolen in G.T.A first thing comes to mind "its getting parted out". This is exactly one of the reason why my insurance was high because they said "its a Honda and they are top in our list of stolen cars". Just a month back a Lexus was stolen right from Kennedy commons meet. They found it but it was declared totaled as the guy crashed it and that Lexus was modded pretty well. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually drove it off since its not really hard for them to get in

"Police said apparently thieves can use a laptop computer to disable the chip in the key and the entrance (lock) somehow."

Some measures that you can take to prevent this from happening again is by installing a tracker and I would also say steering lock is also very effective and park the car where you can easily spot it from a distance.

Funk the golf clubs and hockey stick .. I'd be worried about the 25k + or - car.

So you didn't leave the keys in it did you? I didn't find a comment stating otherwise.

O7/08 TL Type-S would be a fine replacement for the Accord, that would be my choice too if I find myself having to replace my Accord today, good luck.
Wow that's actually a crazy story. Very lucky of him

Yeah I'd like to hope it was just a joyride. Boggles my mind that they would go through the effort to steal an I4... I'm assuming engine parts would be worth the most?

Was that a serious question? Or are you just being a douchebag?

Sorry to hear :/ I know how infuriating that is!! I had my old Honda stolen too. The cop told me I had more of a chance of finding it myself than them finding it. However, I was lucky enough that they found it not too far from where it had been stolen. The only thing they took was my purse (bad idea to leave that in the car) They also took this little part under the stereo.. but that was all. It looked like they used a key. Nothing was torn out.

They found the car parked. Didn't seem to have been driven much. It was gone about a week and a half. There's nothing much to do but wait. Hope it's found soon. Good luck

Serious question. Not everyone on this forum has common sense and you never get the full story until you start asking questions. It wouldn't make a difference if they keys were in it or not .. doesn't take away from the fact that it was stolen. Just curious ..

It doesn't matter I4 or V6. Engine as a whole would sell, airbags, etc etc. Like someone suggested continuously check online(Kijiji) to see if they post the parts for sell online

If you can give me some description of the car then I would keep my eyes open on the road, rem more eyes the better.

Thanks Hondagirl, glad you were able to get your car back!

Okay fair enough. No the keys were not in the car, I had them on me the whole day. The only other set was back at home with the rents. I'm pretty sure the thief grabbed it with a tow truck because there wasn't any smashed glass or anything on the ground. Even if they got in I have no idea how they would've started the car. As I stated before the receptionist noticed a sketchy guy with a tow truck on the premises, so I'm assuming this is the guy that grabbed my ride.

It's pretty frustrating that I purposely parked farther and in a spot against a curb in order to prevent door dings, and my car ends up getting stolen. Don't misinterpret this because I start work at 7am, so when I get to work, the parking lot is empty, and I would always park in the farthest spot away from everyone, but by 8am it fills up completely. So it wasn't like my car was isolated and all alone.

I just hope they find it, and it wasn't shipped off anywhere. At least if it's gutted, insurance would be able to pay for replacement parts. Then again, the whole engine could be missing so who knows.

Still trips me out that my actual car was taken. Not like a wallet or even a bike, but my CAR. So whack

My sig and avatar would give the best description. License plate BFFW 434

Blacked out tails with the reverse and signals cutout.

Blacked out emblem on the back.

Blacked out grille and emblem.

I can't say I've seen one other green sedan with blacked out anything so it's pretty rare.

I appreciate the help

Mine was 77400..

I just checked my VIN number and it doesn't match.. but I feel like the dealer could easily lie about the mileage and create a new VIN number or something..

I'm just trying to make sense of anything because I want to believe that's my car

Just go see it on Sunday, nobody will be there and I see people checking out cars in dealer lots at off hours all the time, do it during daylight and don't act "suspecious", just act you are thinking about getting a car and just checking things out ahead of time.

If it IS your car then this will get a whole lot more exciting, that said it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that Mississauga Honda, an OEM dealership, will knowingly become involved with any incoming car that has remotely shaddy origin, so I doubt this is actually your car, but do make a trip to check it out yourself.
