that is an insane deal. almost hard to believe. im in dfw and couldn't get below 23k for a 2011 v6/nav CPO coupe with 14k miles.

I've bought both my Accords (had an 07 LX for 3 years) at Economy Honda here in Chattanooga and got a great deal both times but feel I got a superb deal this time around. My baby stickered for almost $27,000 but they had her marked down to $21,000. Plus they gave me $500 more for my trade in than anybody else had offered. I got lucky cause they still have a ton of '12 models sitting in their lot and they're really hustling to get them all sold before the '13's hit.

It was fate. It was built in July (my birthday) and had only been on the lot for 5 days. And it was the only one that had Michelin Pilots on it! Fate I tell you. The auto gods were making amends for the horrible 2010 Ford Edge I'd been driving the last 2.5 years.

Well now that I've looked at this thread a bit I'm hoping I didn't get a bad deal on mine. But here goes! I don't have the exact #'s memorized (can edit my post when I'm at home with the paperwork).

Crown Honda @ Southpoint in Durham, NC

2012 Accord LX-P
Sticker price of $25,xxx -
Part of sticker:
+ Mud flaps (~$150)
+ Pin stripe (~$150)
+ First Place Finish protectant for interior/exterior ($599)

Warranty:
+ 7 year 100,000 mile platinum extended warranty (through Fidelity Warranty Services) ($1750.00 - I believe this was "at cost")
+ 4 year optional car care plan (~$900 - Also "at cost")

They took $4,000 off without even really negotiating. I don't think we would have been able to get much better than that. After the all the extras, taxes, fees, etc. and the discount the price of the car ended up being a touch under $25,000. We put down $6k and got 1.9% for 72 months. Payment is basically $275 a month.

With the 9th gen coming out shortly, how much do you think the 8th gen will decrease by? I'd love to trade in my 04 sedan for an 08-09 coupe. Preferably in blue and with fog lights. 4 or 6 cyl doesn't matter to me as I think 190hp is all I'll really need to keep up or even beat some of my friends. I know you guys cant give an exact price but since you all own one what do you think an estimate would be?

I bet the deals will be the best when they have a handful of leftovers on the lot. By then though you won't have the best color or trim options to pick from.

My dealer said they were going to start seeing the 2013's in the next few weeks.

Congrats on new car, but...

I'd cancel that Fidelity warranty. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/auto_.../fidelity.html If it's not a Honda Care warranty, then it's not worth it. You can pick up a 7 yr/100K Honda warranty for almost half that online (e.g. Curry Honda, Bernardi Honda, etc.)... see attached image below.

What is a 4 year optional car care plan?

Mud flaps are $70 (e.g. College Hill Honda, Bernardi Honda, etc). Probably cost the dealer ~ $30-$40.

What is a First Place Finish protectant? I have a feeling it's nothing more than a regular paint sealant and fabric stain guard. Definitely not worth $600 (IMO).

None of those warranties were "at cost."

Getting $4K off without negotiating is good, but they made up for it with all the little extras... and especially so on the extended warranties. All the little extras they got you to buy was easily $2K+ of pure profit.
