Mods that will not break the bank

Since owning this car I want to mod things that are not going to brake the bank and void the warranty.

So far I have done is LED interior light, trunk, and rear license plate.

On its way: HID (low beams), Sylvania silverstar front turn signal.

soon: Window tint(got), Engine cover (stating 2.4 VTEC), and K&N drop in air filter.

Planning/later down the line: Lighter rims 17in, Apexi smart accel controller, OEM engine start.

Any input or opinion welcome. No I don't want anything rice or bling out is out of the question, this is going to be daily driver and commuter to school.

Check out collegehillhonda for that engine cover, actually comes with all the nuts and bolts.

Perhaps change you're DRL/high beams to a better regular type bulb, from another drive accord member recommended g e night breakers from amazon. DRL not much difference but the high beams were better.

Weather tech mats were also a great fit.

Good luck.

Debadging the trunk of Accord or getting those red H emblems is kinda cool. I bought those window visors. You can get a large JDM sticker (JK)

The rear sway bar swap out is a $90 upgrade that helps.

Warranty can not be voided unless the item you install cause the damage. Like installing a cold air intake & hydro locking the engine.

Cool about college honda, will look in to it. I have thought of getting brighter high beams, with the hids make the look more complete and no stock yellowish bulbs.

It might look cool...... I have a bottle of plastic dip to black out all the chrome and the emblems. Will look in to the rear swaybar and MAYBE Eibach pro-kit springs

Ah! Another Taffeta White in the mix! You made the wise choice!

Weathertech visors if you get a lot of hot days and need to leave your windows cracked. Not worth it purely for looks, since sometimes my windows don't want to shut, and they add some noise. But damn it gets hot here in the summer.

OEM splash guards are subtle yet tasteful. Since you have an i4, by all means get fog lights to fill those hideous holes in the front bumper. Shame on you for that Honda!

Red h looks good on 2 colors imo. Smr red & taff white. The lower grill guard mod is inexpensive & functional. I also painted my engine cover... Another cheap mod:

I recently bought a kn air intake which gave me about 10-15hp gain but a nice noise from the area of the engine. I bought it from streetside auto and they even have a video on it. it cost around $225 but well worth it.

I have thought of getting fog lamps for it but having HID should be more then enough. The price for stock fog lamps from factory is ridiculous I could get something better like PIAA.

I ask for a red couple before I got the car and the dealer wanted another $400 bucks on top of the price so I was like for get it. White is fine by me. Lower grill? my grill is different then yours. I want the engine cover it didn't came with it, as of now it looks a bit boring.

Yeah I'm debating about that should I or should I not get the short ram intake... I was planning on just the K&N drop in.

So I installed my Sylvania Silverstar highbeam, turn signal, and hid today. I don't know why some people here complain about the glare or hot spots using Halogen projectors. but look at that cut off

Oh, I have spent some crazy amount of money on my Eclipse from engine work, turbo, intercooler, rims, tires, brakes, etc. All of them are name brand stuff.

For the accord I don't want to spent anything near what i have put in to my eclipse.

Judging a headlight by its cutoff is like judging a book by its cover - never a good idea.

It's what's under the cutoff that counts and HID kits change what's under the cutoff for the worse. With a projector light the cutoff will be retained regardless of light source - halogen, HID, fireflies, candles, the sun.

Having a sharp cutoff does not mean there is no glare.

For starters - the increased intensity in light in front of the car is actually going to hurt your long distance night vision. Unfortunately, if you're like most people, you'll get a warm and fuzzy feeling of having better headlights from this increase in foreground light and you simply won't realize that you've reduced distance night vision.

Regarding glare - people have varying tolerances to glare. Usually the younger a person is the greater their tolerance to glare. Case in point - I've been driving with my teenage daughter in my car. We've seen Accord coupes with HID kits and my daughter is not affected by the glare. The same headlights cause me a lot of pain. I say this to demonstrate that even though you may find the glare from your HID kit acceptable you shouldn't assume everyone will also find it acceptable. It's for this reason that when we headlights designers design a headlight we use specialized equipment to evaluate glare and we never ever rely on the human eye for this.

Looks good.
Everyone has an opinion on this subject just use what equipment works for you personally.
Thank you, and good luck.
