Has anyone tried this meguiars carnauba plus wax

I was so impressed with the quick detail er from this line. Has anyone tried the wax? Currently I am using the mother's california carnauba liquid wax and it's fantastic.

I have used this. It is nice in my opinion. I used this on my 95 Pontiac and the shine to this day is still awesome. However they say synthetic wax is better for new cars. I have the Mequiars Ultimate wax on my Accord, not sure If I like it better than the Carnauba. I will probably use it to see what it does on the honda or if there is a difference.

The shine is pretty good. Kind of hard to remove and the durability is not great. I wouldn't buy it again.

Carnuba is ole skool. It's stil great but there is better out there. Meguiars makes what they call "tech wax" short for technologic wax which is a synthetic wax. It's in the same can but purple, that is their best wax. Collinite is better and by far the best wax out there today.

I agree with Collinite. Their #845 is the easiest to apply/remove and it lasts 6 months or more. It is a "hybrid" for lack of a better word. You get the brilliance of a good carnauba and the durability of a top grade sealant. There are a lot of threads on it in this section. For me the Meg's Tech Wax 2.0 had little lasting power. It was a big disappointment so I gave it away to someone I didn't like .

I'll agree, the new Meguairs Ultimate Wax seems to not last any longer than a month. However, it apples on extremely easy! But like others I won't be buying it twice at $20 a can.

One more for Collinite. Simple to use if you follow the directions (warm the wax to a milky consistancy and apply THIN) and super cheap considering how long a bottle will last and how little it actually takes to wax a car. I actually use it around my house as well to limit how much I have to clean.

I've heard/read that this was initially used on the insulators of high tension power lines. If you've never seen the maintenance take place on one of these (it's incredible to watch), it requires a helicopter and a couple of guys with large brass clankers. Keeping those insulators protected is a big deal when that maintenance/replacement is likely on the order of thousands of dollars an hour. If it's good enough for them...

Sometime I have applied 2 layers of Meguiar's synthetic wax for its shine and another 2 layers of Meguiar's carnauba liquid wax for its protection.
