It's been 1 year since I left Honda for other brands, but I'm happy to be back. I had a 2007 G35X 4-Door and a 2012 Touareg TDI in between... Sufficient to say, I wasn't thrilled with either for the price I paid, features I got and lack of reliability from either.

So it's back to Accords for me. This will be my 4th - 8th Gen, now topping my line up off with a 2012.

I picked up a 2012 EX-L V6, 6MT, Navi, for $26,143. I'm quite happy with the price and the car. It's Black on Black. Pics will follow shortly.

Glad to be back in the circle once again!
I did a similar thing but with hondas in general. I had a civic loved it, sold it and got a 300zx, hated it, sold it and got an integra, loved it, crashed it got another civic, loved it, pick up a range rover and it was ok but not worth the money, sold that but still had the civic, just shy of 300,000 miles she took a $hit so I grabbed a 09 accord coupe EX-L V6 6-speed and guess what? I LOVE IT! Hondas for LIFE! I also love my HONDA cbr600rr but that's a whole different kinda love lol

Honda to a ford? I can see that it wasn't gonna be a happy transition.

Well... To answer everyone's questions.

- Yes, I have lost a lot of money, but personally my sanity is my worth more than anything. And since I'm a gear head, I want a car I love.

- YES, this is my 4th 8th Gen Accord. I've had an '09, '10 and '11.. now a '12. I've also had a 2003. So this is my 5th over all Accord.

- Thanks. I did get a great price. I work in the industry so I'm excellent at getting a fantastic deal. And being my 6th over all purchase from the dealership (brought my mother in AND I bought my G35 from them) they let me into the Sales Manager's office and I worked directly with the GM too.

I'm happy to see the interest. Thanks everyone, it's good to be back.

Sadly I WORK for VW, which is why it's such a dissapointment that I couldn't enjoy a $51k Touareg.

Coming from someone that has had our entire lineup - A Sedan, Coupe, Automatic & Manual - 5MT & 6MT, i4 & V6.

Trust me. They aren't the same. They all have their own feel, their sweet spots and their downfalls.

The V6-6MT. Is by the far BEST Accord in the lineup. From my personal ownership experience, I can't say I would ever own any of the other trim levels again.

And that's not just like some people on here that preach about what they don't know. I know. And trust me - I'm a very happy camper. It just took 4 tries to get it just right.

ok fair enough. Good thing every time I purchase a car I always buy the best model and manual tranny. I too have a V6 6-speed black coupe ex-l. The only option I didn't get was navi because I have an iphone and it works perfectly.

Damnn right Skippy! So many get caught up thinking All Accords are the same.

Coupes are sportier than sedans in every way. V6 powered accords in EX trim are best all around. Though it takes careful modding for Automatics, due to the power band needs to be lowered while opening up engine breathing capabilities.

Someone once said here that the Coupe built round the Sedan. I laughed at the thought that nobody counter replied. Yes most of the components are the same, but the body is strictly a coupe, with better handling tweaks. Sure you can add V6 components to an I4, but the Sedan will never be as good for its size and weight. Though, I took the comment as if he was unhappy about the 8th being bulky compared to previous models.

Manuals always have been best for sporty feel and power. One the cheap base models with manuals are the poor mans go-cart so to speak.
