Exhaust upgrade

I have a 2010 i4 coupe looking to upgrade the exhaust/muffler. Trying to have a deeper sound (not high like a hot-wheels car, that sounds awful). If anyone has any suggestions and youtube videos that go with it I'd appreciate it. I'm a complete noob and was looking for some advice. Thanks

This tread has links to removing one or both cats > http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=74049
Your car will deff gain some growl.

Another option is to get a magnaflow muffler and keep your oem tips to keep that factory look.
I purchased my car used and while under the car one day I noticed that the mufflers have been changed but you can't tell because the oem tips are on the mufflers still. I knew it had more of a growl when I bought it but thought it was just in my head until I saw that mufflers.

^No, deleting your cats will make the car sound like a rice rocket, definitely what they asked not to have.

The GReddy SE doesn't sound bad on the 4cyl model. If you wanna go custom I would recommend magnaflow mufflers and a 22" or more magnaflow resonator. 2.25 piping

Deleting the both will get the rice rocket sound but if you delete just the second one it'll just get a lil louder with a stock exhaust. I guess I should of mentioned not to deleted a cat and get mufflers.

I have the dual exhaust conversion on the i4 with the p2r down pipe and it sounds great and does not sound like a rice rocket or a tin can. I get a nice deep sound and a gargling sound when my rpm is dropping.

Do you by any chance have a link of what you bought w install instructions and maybe some sorta video or audio of your exhaust maybe on youtube? If you do that'd be much appreciated. PM me if you need an e-mail or whatnot. Thanks!

+1, .....but putting a resonator in place of cat cures it.

If you remove the stock mufflers and resonator then yeah your I4 will get raspy. Thanks capt obvious

Delete the second cat ONLY, keep EVERYTHING else in the exhaust sytem STOCK. If you are looking for power then you purchased the wrong engine. If your doing this just for sound then removing the second cat will be the easiest way to achieve that. An intake will further enhance this without any fear of raspiness.
