2012 Honda Accord questions.
Hello guys,
I am brand new to this forum and I sincerely apologize if I am posting in the wrong place, I am just simply looking for information and I have looked everywhere on the internet and can't seem to find the answers I need. I have a really nice BMW 335 and I have enjoyed the time that I have had it, but I got a new better paying job and to make a long story short I can't afford (well I don't want too) the gas and maintenance on it, due to all the commuting to and from work. This weekend I am going to buy a brand new white 2012 Honda Accord and get rid of my baby. I have been looking at the various options on Accords all over the net and want the HFP body kit for sure. That is the only way I would buy one is if I could get the HFP body kit installed with it (front, side skirts, rear). I also like the 19" alloy rims but they are not a deal breaker. So my question is: Can I get a 2012 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4 liter, 4 cylinder (obviously), with the HFP body kit on it and perhaps the HFP 19" alloy rims. If I could not get the rims could I at least just get the HFP body kit on a 2.4 liter accord? This is exactly what I want only in a 4 cylinder, and I want it affordable ($30,000ish)?..... Most sincerely, all help is appreciated and I can't wait to join th Accord family thanks! |

Okay, if I wanted a 2013 Accord I wouldn't have asked the previous question. I want a 2012 Accord now, not a 2013.
I want a 2012 accord 4 cylinder with the HFP body kit on it, is that possible to obtain? Can anyone answer this question for me? It's very simple and I know that I am not the only one in the world who has wanted this request. Yet I cannot find information anywhere online that you can in fact get a 4 cylinder 2.4 liter 2012 accord EX-L edition with the HFP ground effects. Someone please help me and thank you so much! |

no need to be snippy. he was saying wait for the 2013 because you will probably get a better deal on the 2012.

You can def. do that. Honda sells the lip kit and the wheels as accessories, so you could ask the dealer to sell it to you financed with the vehicle, or purchase it on the side if you wanted to.

Or is it the simple rule of never buying the first year of a new model?

Absolutely unnecessary to bump a thread 20 minutes after the previous post.

You might be SOL, since the 2013's are already in production. If the car has already been manufactured, then perhaps it could get transferred to your nearest dealer. If not, you may just have to get the vanilla 2012 then buy the HFP parts separately.
I'm doubtful that you can custom order a 2012 this late in the game, but it doesn't hurt to ask your salesman.

there are none listed on autotrader.com. as someone else suggested, try your dealer and see if they can get a 2012 - then buy all the hfp components separately.

At this time, the only 2012s you will be able to choose from are those remaining in dealer stock. Which means you're at the mercy of whatever is left. Honda quit manufacturing 2012 models in May, and have had the assembly line and part suppliers shut down for retooling for the all new 2013 over the summer.
You can still get the HFP and ground effects kit in any color you like. Those are going to still be manufactured as spare parts for a few years. You just may not be able to find a 2012 EX-L 4 cylinder coupe in exactly your color. Your best bet is to just ask around at your local dealers. They can check other dealer stock.
