I like how you casually just figure "Eh, I don't want to screw up my headlights, I'll take my girl's to practice on in case I screw up. NBD" But good job! Now you'll know what to expect. I plan on getting some cheap OEM ones to use and leave mine in the car for the time being.

do morimoto mini + e46 shrouds. I think that would look good, but you have to tilt the shroud sideways. Another option would be the full side gatling gun which will require trimming. Let me know if you need ideas or hook up on parts.

since your headlight has that signal stuff in the way. if you use this shroud

http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=131

You can tilt it so that you don't have to cut as much.

or you can do the mini gatling, But for headlights with large low beam area. use a larger shroud. Or else it looks weird.

Just my opinion that all. not sure what you have purchased or what you are planing to do. Just giving you some creative ideas.

what projectors are you planing to do?

I just got around to aiming/installing my new headlights, and while I was aiming them, I noticed my passenger side light give off some smoke. Anyone have any thoughts as to what it might be? I don't see anything burning.

Not that I know of. I virtually tried to keep it from touching anything except the styrofoam it came in. Anything I can use to clean it just in case?

Where did the smoke come from? Outside of the headlight, inside of the headlight or inside the projector.

You're supposed to clean your HID bulb with the provided alcohol wipe before turning it on.

Late response. It looked like it was coming more from the back half of the projector (where the bulb goes), but again, I can't say for sure where exactly it was coming from. I actually haven't installed the headlights yet. Waiting for the morimoto led angel eyes to come out in the larger sizes.
